I love Frusciante, his solos are such ear worms and he totally gets every ounce of emotion out of every note! He's really showed me over time that melody trump's flash.. I learned could of lied by ear back in the day it was the first time I'd done that and was such a great feeling and great song even though it's sad as.. being able to write music like that is special 👍 Thanks for the share Sean! Have a goodun 😎🙏✨🕊️
I LOVE this. Your videos are so inspiring. I'm maybe an intermediate player. You taught me some unexpected things today. Thanks! (Just realized the song is about EVH)
The Chili Peppers are an amazing trio of musicians. I, however, don't like the lead singers' vocals or can't stand Anthony Kedis as a front man. I'm from Detroit, Michigan, and I couldn't get into them before they even had Chad there awesome drummer. They were 3 or 4 of them guys that actually lived in Detroit, Michigan, for a while back in the 80s pulling on the coat tails of Funkenstein himself, George Clinton. This was a dangerous time in a dangerous city when we were murder capital, and the crack epidemic is getting ready to blast off, and George Clinton was taking advantage of it.. He was out of his mind, but he had enough sense to get the privileged little white kids out of his apartment and find them an apartment of their own. He was worried that he was going to come to and check on them and find one of them dead from a heroin overdose. The City was currently in a major transition of Y.B.I. gang members getting picked up for pulling in a million plus a week from Heroin sales. They were involved with the junk way back then as young kids, man. I agree Fruciante and Flea and the drummer they are awesome and they fit each other style wise better than anyone who could try and replace one of them, it doesn't work. Just look at Dave Navarro and the catalog they left together...Not the Chilli Peppers.
you are right! love playing it. great lesson.

@@maryk6780 hey thanks so much! Much appreciated. And yes, what a beautiful tribute to the king.
John is a real genius! Chilis still the best band for me more than The Beatles.
