That’s so funny. I always compliment people and tell random people when I think something is beautiful. It’s a good way to be I think. When we sincerely appreciate anyone or anything we are spiritually powerful. 🌸
I noticed that in London specifically (compared to other parts of the UK), that people don't care how you look. It's so diverse that there's a kind of security in it, you can just look however you want. Traditional and rural areas are much more uniform, which creates a feeling of authenticity and culture that is nice, but which also makes it really hard to fit in and belong if you aren't 3 generations deep in that exact place.
I am currently studying Japanese. The one thing that keeps coming up is negativity for foreigners. I have been to the Philippines 🇵🇭 and really liked the country. My wife learned Tagalog. I took on Japans native tongue while she gets to work on Korean. Starting to wonder if it’s worth my time considering the bad press. I am a Londoner currently living in the USA. I have been living here 11 years. My English believe it or not has got better as no one could understand a dickie bird when I went to the states. 😂
What a lovely series of interviews - to hear people from outside the UK being (in the main) complimentary about the UK and it's people is such an ego-boost, thank you! I'm sure you're already very aware that London is hugely expensive compared to the rest of the country, so your interviewees comments about the cost of living in the capital has to tempered by that knowledge. Very, very enjoyable interviews, thank you!
Interesting to hear the views of other foreigners living in London. I have a foreign family that I want to bring to the UK. I'm British so can understand the shock at the transport costs, it's crazy but unfortunately there are lots of problems with the cost of living at the moment. I remember in Japan thinking food and transport were really affordable, in comparison to what I was used to in the UK !
This is most likely an unrelated question that I experienced tonight, but I thought I’d go to the source. My Uber driver’s profile said From the Philippines. My Taiwanese friend (from Taiwan) told me not to speak Tagalog with the driver, that it would be condescending and insulting, that I would be speaking down to them in any number of ways. What are your and your guests thoughts on a local speaking your native language as you live abroad?
As someone who's never really been comfortable identity wise (including my British nationality) it's good to see these Japanese people seemingly enjoying life in London. Thanks, Joshua
@@joshuasjapanchannel In the West you have to deal with random nonsense like this much more than you do in Japan. If a person jumps out at out or yells at you or tries to frighten you on the street, pays to remember that that they likely have mental health, drug or other life issues. That is all I am saying. In Japan people leave each other alone
Bro, I'm so glad you're sharing stories on your life on this platform. This is awesome
Another well done fascinating interview (s).
Great work Joshua
People feel comfortable to share around you!
You bless many.

Very wholesome! Love these insights as someone who's now in Tokyo and was living in London before.
Loved this video! I know zero Japanese but I love listening to different languages and cultural perspectives. Awesome 🙂
I'd love to see tons of these. So meaningful while being a blast!
Excellent interviews, Joshua san! Thank you 🤩
Glad you enjoyed it!

Cute. I'm glad things are working out for these lovely people. 😁
If you look for the positives in any situation you will attract more things to be positive about. And the reverse is also true. 💖

Thank YOU for watching 😚
London is not indicative of life in the UK. I'm from Manchester but London is like a different country. And the water is soft.

I mean, I’d be happy if somebody would speak my native language and knew few words but I also know what your Taiwanese friend means.
I would take your friends advice ... without saying too much ..
Came for the fashionable Ronald McDonald (I like your hair!), stayed for the interesting interviews😌
Oh hello 👋 glad you liked it!

He is born and raised in Japan but his parents are originally British/Australian/new Zealand
Go h-iontach ar fad ("Well done" in the Irish language)!

There are lots of nutters in London - don't take it personally
Yeah truly! Interestingly, I’ve never had the experience he’s had. I wonder why…
