Waiting for mine to arrive here in NYC…Thank you for the thorough un-boxing and review… Very helpful…actually…It was an awesome review. I’m going from the ninebot max to this one so I won’t have a Ferrari BMW comparison. Actually, the max served me well …I put over 2500 miles on it and it’s still running fine… the only maintenance I did was a new fender in the rear because I had a crash… I also had a rear flat tire and I used green slime to fix it. It worked great and still running… I just wanted to upgrade and use the other one as a spare. Again… awesome review. Thanks. Patiently waiting for mine to arrive…IT CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH. Cheers.
IT’S HERE..YAY 😀 It’s big. Quality seems pretty good…just setting up and charging…I’ll update after first ride. I think the activation card is great for theft prevention… But what if you lose it then you can ride it? I’ll have to figure out how to just use the code to turn on and ride. At the moment, it seems complicated because I’m so excited but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
UPDATE: I FRICKEN LOVE IT ❤️❤️❤️…so far 😉 Finally able to take it out for a spin… l’m going from the max to p65… it’s like going from a volkswagon to a Cadillac. The ride is very smooth. The new larger tires are a big plus. The power is great…I wasn’t brave enough to ride in sport mode… But I rode in drive mode from Manhattan to Queens and back… About 10 miles, leaving the fully charged battery 🪫 at 54%. So that’s about 21 miles on a full charge… It’s not what’s advertised but that’s what I got. I weigh about 160 pounds and I made one stop at Trader Joe’s and had a backpack full of groceries. So far, I am very happy. Even though I was only in drive mode, it seemed faster than the ninebot max, which I always kept in sport mode… It’s still in kilometers for some reason, so I have to figure that out but I was going 35. (21mph ?) …I will continue to update. THUMBS UP!
UPDATE… NOT SO IN LOVE WITH IT. i’ve had four weeks with this scooter and I love the ride and everything but now a software update has prevented me from cruising the speed I want to. I wish you could just use the scooter without the app because they control everything. I’m pretty sure if they want to make the machine break down they can push a button or send a malware so you buy a new machine …I know that sounds crazy but I’m pissed now because the software update no longer allows me to crews at 24 mph …now I can only go 19 mph. This sucks I wanna return it and get another brand.
@parents are evil incarnate you can use the key card that comes with it (you get two) or manually input your passcode using button on handlebars. You can create your own password in the app. Hope this helps.
I am surprised they still have not made the batteries portable, it is a pretty heavy scooter, carrying it to the apartment if you do not have an elevator is hard
Portable and interchangeable batteries sounds like a good idea. I'm sure they could, but it may add weight for an additional battery case and slot on the bottom of the scooter. The Segway ES4 has an additional battery on the tube.
@@TYLERafrosniperxKELLUM You can see the max speeds in each of the modes (Eco, Drive and Sport) here: ua-cam.com/video/cIjgqF0ZFbM/v-deo.htmlsi=_bWu4zgtqkUyR0dg&t=57 I don't think the P65 has an extra boost mode for Sport. The GT2 does.
Hey Colin its really cool to see acceleration tests as this is what i focus to see in a scooter, do you feel any push of force when going full throttle on sport mode? Is it fast? I like a scooter that you can feel the acceleration. Love the way you show your videos btw because it has to be more detailed then most!
Hello, thanks for the comment. There is a bit of torque when accelerating on full throttle in sport mode, but it can be controlled by gradually twisting the throttle. The feel of push is also subjective because I was reviewing the Segway GT2 at the same time, and this one felt underwhelming after.
its regen not "break" every time you don't use the motor the bike slows down but if you give throttle the bike doesn't use more power to drag regen on all the time. your only adjusting how much the motor will break as you let the throttle go. But a good review.
In Germany you must Drive max 20km/h it is very slowly and without lights indicator, no break light and without daytime running lights. It's make no fun.Germany has tough laws.
That beeping whenever the turn signal is blinking must go! That must be a way to shut that beeping off within the settings, if not then I know a sure way of permintly killing that annoying beep, KILL THE SPEAKERS OR RIPP THEM THE HELL OUT! But thanks for the video!
Looks just like a NIU KQi3 Max with better bars. But the max is $500 less. Even the mantis 8 and the Pegasus is $300 less and has dual motors and suspension. Good review though.
Great video ! I'd like to know, how about having to lift it (folded) by the handle bar. Does the hook is strong enough ? How realist is it to use it in multimodal mode ? (scoot/train/scooter) with some stairs on the journey. How much space it use in a train ? Continue the good job. I like your simple and efficient style. No need for fancy effects.
The hook is strong enough if you wanted to hold it by the stem. It weighs 60lbs, so it's not that light to carry up stairs on onto a train unless you're able to roll it on. The dimensions are approx. 46.9 × 25 × 22.3 in (1190 × 634 × 567 mm)
I've only gotten 16mi (26km) with hard acceleration and stops, and had 12% left. It may feel like there's a lot of torque coming from a $500 scooter, but I reviewed this after the GT2 and this felt "slow" in comparison.
Anyone know how to hack the speed limit? Because the new software update doesn’t allow you to go full speed in certain states …New York is where I live… I’m kind of pissed off because I’ve gotten used to the speed and now they lowered it. 😡
European users have mentioned that the app does not allow Unlimited mode (locked at 25km/h). 4-3-23 Update: Someone suggested a video from Electric Club. ua-cam.com/video/OGFArdkTnoY/v-deo.html 12-27-22 Update: Someone shared this link to unlock unlimited mode. The build quality is excellent compared to cheaper scooters, but it's also more expensive for the performance provided. I sold the scooter shortly after reviewing it, and am not able to comment on the long term durability, corrosion, firmware, and errors. Sorry
Hello, I do not have plans to review the F65 unless Segway provides one to me as reviewing all scooters becomes expensive. I was fortunate enough to be sent the P65 and GT2 for review. Thanks!
Hello Marlene, I'm not too familiar with the resetting process on the P100. Perhaps you can contact Segway, or see if one of these other procedures work or are similar. ua-cam.com/video/KoabsKu92w8/v-deo.html
Good review. Hill climb test, night ride test, brake test will be of interest to everyone. Very few people do such tests in one video. Add more in the description how many kilometers you were able to drive on a single battery charge, in the fastest mode, and mixed modes. This electric scooter is interesting, but expensive. Can it compete with the $600 Ninebot Kickscooter Max G30? Is the P65 that much better? Yes, the P65 has a 500W motor versus the G30's 350W. They have different designs. But the speed of movement is comparable, and the price is very different.
#Colin Leung, could you please tell me the maximum climb you managed to overcome with the P65. What was the uphill angle percentage? I am considering shopping between the Segway P65 or the NIU KQi3 Max. What would you choose from these two models? Thank you very much and greetings!
Hello Daniel, the P65 is advertised to climb 22% slopes. I was able to climb steeper slopes (possibly 35%), and it was able to overcome it, but the motor was noticeably slower. I haven't personally ridden the Niu, so I'm going to comment based on specs. The Niu is $999, and P65 $1300. They seem very similar in performance. The Niu can unlock a max speed of 23.6mph through the app vs 25mph on the P65. The range is the same. It's up to you to decide if $300 is worth 50W more, NFC unlock cards, and increase of 1.4 mile top speed.
I have another question. The handle bar extension in the front underneath the rubber caps. Do you know the size of the screws and any accessories that fit for the scooter. Thank you for your time
Just got mine now and it won’t power on at all. Any suggestions? Tried following all the directions and it’s completely dead. Also the charge lights turn off after a few seconds…
Sorry to hear that. My one wouldn't power on until I plugged it in and then it would charge. Then I would have to unplug it to turn it on with the passcode. Perhaps double check the connection to the scooter and wall, or try a different outlet? If that doesn't work then I'd suggest contacting the manufacture as there may be a defect.
I had no problem on New York City streets… the larger tires, make the ride much smoother than the ninebot max… I would imagine it would be a bumpy ride off road… But for city streets it’s just fine.
@@johnlyndsay What has been your distance one charge on the P65? I use an eScooter (Niu KQi3Pro) for commuting through three boros, and I roughly get about 14-15miles (if I'm lucky), but only use about 12 miles each way. I'm looking for options for future purchase, whenever my current scooter decides to flake out beyond repair. ***Oh Wait, I just read your update below, 21miles, not bad.***
P65 is for city commuters. Suspension will add weight and height and make it less easy to bring with you. I ordered the p65 specifically for the lack of suspension
It should have been $1.000 at most and the P100S should have been priced at $1.500. The components, materials, electronics, features and development, plus the profit (of course 😅) all together, shouldn’t be more than that… everything over that, it’s just being greedy… I understand that Segway-Ninebot is a manufacturer with premium products, good quality materials etc. … but come on, there’s no way on earth the P100S is $2.000 / €2.000 worth!
Hi, thanks for good review. Bought e65 yesterday - cool scooter for smooth roads. In my version of app i do not have 'unlimited speed mode' could it be because of region settings? I am in EU.
Hello, I heard that it was locked for Europe. I downloaded the test app before the official app supported the P65 using the QR code that can be found here: docs.google.com/presentation/d/1hWenmGAwsEWYU1qXd0Gnes8HeYZw9tmS/edit?usp=share_link&ouid=105948334554637379398&rtpof=true&sd=true It may be possible to download the US app somehow (potentially changing your vpn location) and trying to sync the scooter with unlimited mode that way. I'm not sure if the lock is built in the scooter, or if it can be unlocked through a different app. I hope this helps.
Hello Joey, I noticed a little scraping sound at the rear brake caliper and disc, but it did not bother me too much. If it's really loud then I'd suggest adjusting the caliper so that the disc is seated in the middle, so there is no rubbing. You can look up brake caliper adjustment tutorials for bikes. I don't have the P100s anymore, but the process should be similar.
I used a test version of the Segway app. I did not use another gps app to verify the speed on the screen. Most electric vehicles are limited to 28mph (45kmh) in the USA
The NFC card isn't necessary to use the scooter unless you want to be able to lock/unlock it with the card. The NFC function wasn't working when I got this demo scooter, and I was able to use it without any issues.
Possibly. It should say when you download the app how far, if any, you need to ride before changing the speed limit. Others say that the speed limit cannot be changed for European models
Hello Paul, the P65 does not have cruise control. See se-en.segway.com/products/segway-kickscooter-p65e under specs. I was not able to test the p100s, and could not find if it has cruise control on google. Thanks
@@haoend You're right. I forgot that it was part of the app at 10:36. Even though it was "enabled" I didn't have a chance to test if it actually worked.
I'm sure it's possible. The brake levers look like a direct swap. It may be more difficult lining up the brake caliper bolts, and may require an adapter.
Hi everyone, i have bought segway p65e. It loses charge so fast like juat for 2 km battery level dropped from 97%to 84% Is it normal? Also when it is off the battery losses charge!!!!
Hello Masoud, I did not have an issue with it losing charge when off for short periods of time like a few hours, or a few days. It's not uncommon for it to lose some percentage of charge after a week or more. It has a built in alarm, so it may be on standby drawing battery life. I believe there is a way to disable it through the app. I went 16mi with hard acceleration, and had 12% left later that week.
Hello Fabio, the 40 mile range appears to be exaggerated and is most likely in a lab under ideal conditions at the slowest speed. I went 16mi with hard acceleration stop and go's, and had 12% leftt, so 14 miles is not that far off. The battery capacity may increase after multiple charges. What is your riding style (hard acceleration and stops, or constant steady throttle), and are there a lot of steep hills? Rider weight, temperature and battery condition also play a factor.
The only i coukd say segway should put side mirrors coz this one u can drive them in the streets not in sidewalks. What is the maximum load for this model?

@ColinLeung I mean, it is only 4 mph, but it would be nice if it met the scooters' advertised speed limit of 25 mph. It's a great beginner scooter. I just wish it had some sort of suspension to absorb bumps from uneven pavement.
@ColinLeung I looked at the p100 after buying the p65, but I've seen some complaints on that one with the suspension coming apart and some kind of plastic hub warping from heat.
I was thinking the same thing, I would be hesitant to use those in certain areas but wouldn’t want the only options to be no signals at all. I bet you could remove the speakers but thats a more permanent and damaging “solution”.
I don't see any issues with riding it in a different country. Users have reported that the European models have a locked speed in the firmware/computer, so selecting a different country won't change it. There's different software hacks to unlock it
hello I have this scooter but I don't know how to activate the cruise control? and how can we increase the speed because in Europe they are limited to 20km/h?

IT’S HERE..YAY 😀
It’s big.
UPDATE: I FRICKEN LOVE IT ❤️❤️❤️…so far 😉
Finally able to take it out for a spin… l’m going from the max to p65… it’s like going from a volkswagon to a Cadillac.
Good Job. Excellent Presentation
I appreciate the feedback!
Well done review!
Thanks!
Good video! Did you get up to 35km/h right away or did you have to ride the 5 miles first?
Thank you. I was able to get 35kmh right away, but may have had to watch the 2min safety video through their app
What was the speed difference on the extra speed on sport mode option
From my test Drive went up to 27kmh (17mph), and Sport went up to 35kmh (22mph)
?

I don't think the P65 has an extra boost mode for Sport. The GT2 does.
Wow, it's crazy that Segway still doesn't know what front suspension is, even for $1,500.00.
Exactly. Both front & rear suspension should be standard for anything over $1000. This is just a fancier max for $600 more. What a scam.
Yes, it would have been nice to have suspension at that price.
P100s has addressed that problem! 😉
@@gtone339 I love my p100s! Quality build. To me it's a beast. Torque on sport mode is ludicris. Like the Tesla car!
The g2 has front and rear suspension but doesn't look as good as the p65.
I still find it funny I use this video as a reference for the same scooter in the video
😀
@@ColinLeung thanks again Colin for the scooter
@@ExploringwithRachel Were you the one who bought it from me on ebay? I thought I sent it to a guy named Josh.
its regen not "break" every time you don't use the motor the bike slows down but if you give throttle the bike doesn't use more power to drag regen on all the time. your only adjusting how much the motor will break as you let the throttle go.
But a good review.
In Germany you must Drive max 20km/h it is very slowly and without lights indicator, no break light and without daytime running lights. It's make no fun.Germany has tough laws.
Thanks for sharing. I thought Germany has no speed limit on the autobahns.
Good video 😎
Seems very harsh on the road 😱
Thanks. It's not that comfortable on bumpy roads.
Thank you for this video. When you filmed the video about how much did you weigh?
You're welcome, Daniel. I was about 150lbs at the time, and still am.
That beeping whenever the turn signal is blinking must go! That must be a way to shut that beeping off within the settings, if not then I know a sure way of permintly killing that annoying beep, KILL THE SPEAKERS OR RIPP THEM THE HELL OUT! But thanks for the video!
I think there's a way to disable it through the app.
Great video.Overpriced with no shocks.
Lousy beeping!Thank you.
Ride safe.
Thanks. I've seen it on sale for $999.
Looks just like a NIU KQi3 Max with better bars. But the max is $500 less. Even the mantis 8 and the Pegasus is $300 less and has dual motors and suspension. Good review though.
Thanks. Yes, the P65 is priced higher than others with similar specs.

Hello Radames, are you referring to the two cables in the box? I recall one being for US outlets, and another being European.
Works.
Can you turn off the beep noise when indicating ? usually a noise like that means reversing...
I believe there was an option in the app to disable the sound.
This is how you build a scooter, not like the junk Apollo makes. Have you got the advertised 40km? And does it have a lot torque?
I've only gotten 16mi (26km) with hard acceleration and stops, and had 12% left. It may feel like there's a lot of torque coming from a $500 scooter, but I reviewed this after the GT2 and this felt "slow" in comparison.
Excellent review, but is there not a way to turn off the beep sound when activating turn signals?
I believe they added the option to turn off the beep in the app after this video was posted.
@@ColinLeung alright thank you for the answer and very good video
Anyone know how to hack the speed limit? Because the new software update doesn’t allow you to go full speed in certain states …New York is where I live… I’m kind of pissed off because I’ve gotten used to the speed and now they lowered it. 😡

Hey how is the speed now? I just bought this scooter and mine seems like to only go 22mph in IL
How is the build quality? Any creaking noise? Anything come loose yet? Corrosion? What about firmware? Any error codes?
The build quality is excellent compared to cheaper scooters, but it's also more expensive for the performance provided. I sold the scooter shortly after reviewing it, and am not able to comment on the long term durability, corrosion, firmware, and errors. Sorry

Amazing review Colin. When you are going to review the Segway F65?

Good review. Hill climb test, night ride test, brake test will be of interest to everyone. Very few people do such tests in one video. Add more in the description how many kilometers you were able to drive on a single battery charge, in the fastest mode, and mixed modes. This electric scooter is interesting, but expensive. Can it compete with the $600 Ninebot Kickscooter Max G30? Is the P65 that much better? Yes, the P65 has a 500W motor versus the G30's 350W. They have different designs. But the speed of movement is comparable, and the price is very different.
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback!
both are 500w ??
@@smoxesss This site says the G30 is 350W au.segway.com/kickscooter-max-specs/#max-specs

Is there any braking on the back wheel? If you had to slam on your brake in an emergency situation, will it launch you over the handlebars??
There's an electronic brake in the rear. I slammed on the brakes and did not launch over, but was careful not to put my weight towards the front.
@@ColinLeung Thanks is for your reply! Good to hear it won't be launching you if you slam of the breaks.
I have another question. The handle bar extension in the front underneath the rubber caps. Do you know the size of the screws and any accessories that fit for the scooter. Thank you for your time
Hello @darastakid88, sorry but I sold the scooter and cannot take a handlebar measurement. Perhaps someone else that has one can chime in.
I can't understand why segway needed a Kickstarter
Yeah... they seem like an established company. Perhaps it was to build hype for the new scooters, and offer preorder discounts?
When they make that you can tracking it then I will buy it again.. they break my garage and take it, so till they dont have tracking no thanks
Sorry to hear that. You may be able to attach an airtag to the scooter to help track it in the future.
Awesome review! Very informative and to the point. In your opinion, would the P65 be unpleasant to ride on cracked, bumpy city streets?
It can be done, but I'd prefer something with suspension. The P100S is a step higher and has front and rear suspension. I think it's $500 more though.
I had no problem on New York City streets… the larger tires, make the ride much smoother than the ninebot max… I would imagine it would be a bumpy ride off road… But for city streets it’s just fine.

Yeah... I don't know if it's worth the price, but reviewed what was provided to me.
There's always the P100s model w/ suspension! 😉
P65 is for city commuters. Suspension will add weight and height and make it less easy to bring with you. I ordered the p65 specifically for the lack of suspension

It should have been $1.000 at most and the P100S should have been priced at $1.500. Hi, thanks for good review. Bought e65 yesterday - cool scooter for smooth roads.
In my version of app i do not have 'unlimited speed mode' could it be because of region settings? I am in EU.
Hello, I heard that it was locked for Europe. I downloaded the test app before the official app supported the P65 using the QR code that can be found here: docs.google.com/presentation/d/1hWenmGAwsEWYU1qXd0Gnes8HeYZw9tmS/edit?usp=share_link&ouid=105948334554637379398&rtpof=true&sd=true

How important is it to have the NFC Card? I have a chance to buy one secondhand but NFC Card was lost.
The NFC card isn't necessary to use the scooter unless you want to be able to lock/unlock it with the card. The NFC function wasn't working when I got this demo scooter, and I was able to use it without any issues.
Do I have to ride at least one mile, on my segway p65. Before I could change it to speed.
Possibly. It should say when you download the app how far, if any, you need to ride before changing the speed limit. Others say that the speed limit cannot be changed for European models
Hi Colin, does this model and the p100s model have cruise control?
Hello Paul, the P65 does not have cruise control. See se-en.segway.com/products/segway-kickscooter-p65e under specs.

Hi everyone, i have bought segway p65e.
It loses charge so fast like juat for 2 km battery level dropped from 97%to 84%
Is it normal? Also when it is off the battery losses charge!!!!
Hello Masoud, I did not have an issue with it losing charge when off for short periods of time like a few hours, or a few days. It's not uncommon for it to lose some percentage of charge after a week or more. It has a built in alarm, so it may be on standby drawing battery life. I believe there is a way to disable it through the app.
I went 16mi with hard acceleration, and had 12% left later that week.
I bought one p65, question why the range is just 14 miles with the full charge 100%, do you know what’s going on ?
That's a good suggestion. I'm sure you can add aftermarket bike mirrors. Max rider weight: 265lbs/120kg
They actually have rear mirrors that attach to the handlebars as an optional add on through the Kickstarter.

Is yours a European model? I heard that it's locked in the firmware, and you will need to hack it.
I can't get mine past 21 mph in sport mode. How do you get up to that 25mph speed?
Looking back at the footage I had the same issue. It was only going 35kmh or 21mph.
@ColinLeung I mean, it is only 4 mph, but it would be nice if it met the scooters' advertised speed limit of 25 mph. It's a great beginner scooter. I just wish it had some sort of suspension to absorb bumps from uneven pavement.
@@ryanchristensen1799Agreed. I felt like it was overpriced for the performance provided.
@ColinLeung I looked at the p100 after buying the p65, but I've seen some complaints on that one with the suspension coming apart and some kind of plastic hub warping from heat.
@@ryanchristensen1799 That's unfortunate to hear
I think indicator lights are good, but is there any way to stop it beeping?
I was thinking the same thing, I would be hesitant to use those in certain areas but wouldn’t want the only options to be no signals at all. I bet you could remove the speakers but thats a more permanent and damaging “solution”.
In the Segway App is a way to switch the beep off
What if you are from another country and set it to a country which enables you to go faster? Are there any issues?
I don't see any issues with riding it in a different country. Users have reported that the European models have a locked speed in the firmware/computer, so selecting a different country won't change it. There's different software hacks to unlock it
hello I have this scooter but I don't know how to activate the cruise control? and how can we increase the speed because in Europe they are limited to 20km/h?
Hello, I was not able to figure out how to activate cruise control, and the specs said that it did not have that function when it first came out.
See my pinned comment regarding downloading the test Segway app and changing the region to North America. No one has confirmed whether that unlocked Unlimited Speed mode for European users. Thanks.
@@ColinLeung Hi thank you for your answer, when you turn on the scooter I see the cruise control logo on the screen. I really don't know how to do it because it would be very useful to me. then I intend to test your idea because I am in Belgium. I will give you my news. then there was an update 2 days ago I then lost the automatic lights functionality.
@@bes5839 Thanks. Perhaps you can contact Segway to see how to activate cruise control.
Is It that easy to open the box... So the person delivering it can open it up and steal it or items in it?
Yes. I suppose they could, but then you could issue a claim that it was never received or stolen.
The turn signal sounds like my microwave. I hope it can be turned off.
I recall being able to disable it from the app.
Hi,
I love your videos.
i ordered the P65E model, i just turned it on but in the settings i don't have the settings to unlock the speed. How i can unlock the maximum speed with my P65 in Europe.
Thank you
Hello Patito, I've heard from users in Europe that the speed is locked. Perhaps you can try downloading the test app under the North American server. Let me know if that works.
European users have mentioned that the app does not allow Unlimited mode (locked at 25km/h). I downloaded a test app in this video using the QR code in the link below that allows you to select different regions.

@@ColinLeung Hi,
i created a new account on original app and i choice United States. After that after the pairing the app asked me to put the limit or not on the speed. I choice no, but the option is not in riding habits. I tried this night it works very well. It is quite fast but it was 25 km/h in sport mode. I will try your app this friday night, and i will you know
Thank you.
P.S.
I need to find a good phone holder for the scooter.
@@PatitoDiAnime Sounds good. I did a review on two bike mounts that should fit scooters. Any mount with good reviews should be fine.

Hello im planning buy P65E did you can unlock the unlimited mode ?
@@poyrazispir12 Hello, no one has confirmed whether the P65E can be unlocked at the moment.
i have the same scooter but i have a limit of 25 km how can i remove it to lift 30 or 35 km. thank you in advance
Hello, where is your scooter located? Here's info others have mentioned about unlocking European models.
European users have mentioned that the app does not allow Unlimited mode (locked at 25km/h).

@@ColinLeung thank you brother, I hope everything works out, otherwise I'm behind with some money, thank you from the bottom of my heart
@@MsBad1979 You're welcome
Please how can I get a new battery
I think you can buy it directly from the Segway website, or look for a 3rd party replacement for cheaper. store.segway.com/battery-assembly-p65?cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww&cjevent=fb30a111afb011ef81ed10710a1cb827
This is brilliant! But i like g30. (Clarkson meme)
Thanks Nick
What's the point of this my max goes 34km/h and i'm sure it tops this 😂 No 48v or anything
I think they redesigned the P65 to feel more premium, but it doesn't go as fast as its predecessors.
That sounds like a terrible idea that you would have to disable the rear brake to go top speed on the flat ground. Is that really true or is that a mistake?
Sorry, it's been a while since I recorded this video. Do you remember what time stamp I mentioned that? I recall mentioning disabling the rear brake, so the hub wouldn't slow down while coasting.
@@ColinLeung you mentioned it a couple times in the middle to end of the video. Also, you mentioned that you would add a comment as to what range you got out of the Scooter. My ninebot Max gets 19 miles of range. Did this beat that?
@@thecam0073 Ah. You're probably right. I've reviewed a handful of ebikes and scooters that I lose track.
In terms of range I went 16mi with hard acceleration stop and go's, and had 12% left later that week.
Can you do a comparison in size to a max or f40?
in germany we may only drive at 22k\H
Thanks for the comment. I heard the models there had the speed limited.
do you need to have your phone on you for the scooter to work?
You do not. You can either unlock it with a passcode, or NFC card
Does the Type C port charge the bike too?
I don't think so
Can it be hacked though? If it is anything like a stock Max g30, it’s bad, no free rolling, capped top speed
Hello, I'm not sure if it can be hacked. Since the scooter has not been released yet I have not heard about anyone trying to hack it yet.
@@ColinLeung as of now, my Max G30 2nd gen motor (lower torque than the 1st) has faster acceleration hacked than this P65, and with the external battery pack I got, I can reach 43kmh in a matter of 15 seconds at most, and still pretty stable, although I’m sure the P65 feels even more comfortable and premium, with better tyres especially
@@rfh9560 That's awesome. Thanks for sharing
