- With six months to go before the infamous single handed Vendée Globe Race around the world the focus is drawing in on the IMOCA fleet, both for spectators and the solo sailors themselves. And as the clock counts down there were two very important transatlantic races starting with the CIC Transat. Formerly the OSTAR, this is a race with a long and often brutal history. We take a look at what happened to the IMOCA fleet as they punched into some serious weather with expert commentary from IMOCA Champion Sam Goodchild on what we can deduce about the fleet and their machines from this race.
Last to enter, last to launch and with a young team with little America's Cup experience you might think that the French Orient Express Racing Team are going to struggle to play on equal terms in the America’s Cup. But that’s not how they see things. In fact, they might have pulled off a master stroke. Matt Sheahan visits their base in Barcelona to talk to them directly.
We also take a look at the Farr X2 for an update on the fastest changes for this exciting pocket rocket.
Plus, plenty in Docktalk.

Sweet!
Thank you!! who's your money on for the lap?
What's the entry requirements for the races?
I find it amusing that they have gone all-in with full-suspension foils, but are still scared of competing against multihulls.
this is so behind the news, why was it just posted now?
Why so much coverage about the X2?? Paid for content???
the Orient Express sounds a bit like cheating to the other challengers
Some getting a wardrobe with instructions and not straight able to fix togheter.... now for French getting busy time to clues out what strategic behind and get they conclusions for developing.
Wishing good succeed
Wow the French have stolen a march on all other challengers 20 years of development at their finger tips.
These single handed races with fast boats violate one of the most important rules, watch keeping. They need to be changed to at least two man crews.
Worked out well for Sam Goodchild!!
