Bro Before the start of the season when they handed Nico his Ea Player Rating card the brother was offended. What I saw was a young man who hadn't proven himself in what is the most difficult league in the world and in a project that was now kicking off. What I saw then and seeing now was and is a total lack of humility and an individualistic mindset. As the saying goes " for Club and Country " there is only a few players I see right now really wearing the badge in their hearts. I'm a fan from another country and it hurts to see all this. We're now built like an American-style pro team so the Manager is not Poch. It's Winstanley and others who are responsible for choosing players. Poch's job is to literally coach the players. Make sure they have good fundamentals in ball-striking and defense. If a player cannot finish and if a player does not know where to go or what to do that's on the coaching staff. If that happened at Liverpool it would be the player's fault. But at Chelsea it's the coaching staff's fault.
What do you mean by an “American-style pro team”?
Do you mean MLS? American Football or Basketball? Maybe baseball or hockey? Nascar, maybe a pit crew?

@@user-qr4sq2nn1i I meant like the Big 3 here, baseball, basketball, and (American) football. We have (General) managers (GM) in those sports that pick the teams for the long-haul and the head coaches are responsible for developing players from practice squads all the way up to elite superstars. They have a say in player acquisition but it's usually up to the GM to build their squad. Coaches come and go but GM's usually stay much longer. Seems like CFC is following this pattern now which is why they call Poch and coach and not the Manager.

I only might question whether or not that has applied to Chelsea since you’ve been a fan?
Without going back and counting (because it’s been that many), I believe we’ve had somewhere around 15 managers since 2004.
We know based on interviews that the core group of players through the golden years had quite a bit of power at the club. But, as those players started to age out and we allowed our numerous managers to bring in a player or two before their eventual sacking 2 years later, you have a disfunctional squad pieced together from the ideas of multiple managers with different philosophies.
I believe this is why the Tuchel trophies were just papering over the cracks of what was going to require a rebuild anyway.
The club must have an ethos, style, philosophy that is dictated by the owners and directors, then find managers or coaches to execute that vision. Wether our directors have provided that framework, us fans may never know. But look at Klopp’s tenure - he is gassed after less than a decade. If LP plan to stay competing at this level, they better hire a manager who fits their current ethos/model. It wouldn’t be advantageous to bring in a guy who wants to play a completely different style.
We hope the manager is able to collaborate, as some managers have better scouting ability than others. Again, looking at Tuchel - he didn’t want to be that involved. His efforts brought us Sterling and Cucurella… yay.
I think your intention was to put the “American-style” in a negative light. But, it isn’t an American thing. It’s just collaboration, and everyone being on the same page moving in the same direction. Obviously, Chelsea has some work to do in that regard.

What you're saying makes perfect sense though. I think ownership wants that image and ethos to come from the top down instead of changing every time the manager and players change. I think it could work but it's very painful at the moment for all of us watching. 😅

Remember Dujuan Richard’s, well didn’t send him out on loan playing him in the academy team, & he’s settled in really well, just like Washington, he’s grabbed 5 goals in about 7 games, & he clearly knows where the goal is. Washington has been playing really well for the academy & has clearly benefited from playing in PL2, it is time he is given a chance, noticed he wasn’t playing against the saints yesterday, so does that mean he may get a chance against Villa?

And it's just an idea, but how about putting Jackson on right wing and Madueke as forward? Jackson can actually pass better than Madueke, but his finishing is very bad meanwhile Madueke proved in few situations he had that he have some scoring potential.

I’m not embarrassed we have so many injured players and we lost our talisman during that match we have a lot working against us we lost because we were out played not out matched and Cole Palmer is Chelsea
It is so strange to decide to coach for a fast open team that relies on intuition and creativity and basically experience.
Surely players of this age need systems and the expectation of where their team mates will be. To have minimum of things to think about. To settle in without thinking too much.
Seems again the hardest possible route.
Always the hardest route:
1. Hire non Chelsea style managers
2. Buy only young players
3. Sack all back staff
4. Sack medical
5. Teach them open expansive individual led style
Never the easy options

One boring thing about Pochetino is he keeps on playing one predictable formation and tactics and doesn't care about winning.
This season he is played that 4-3-3 with Enzo,Gallagher and Caicedo in the midfield 30 times in all competitions.

Drawing 9 games
Loosing 9 games
Mostly against small mid table or below teams.
Sometimes with flat fullbacks and sometimes no.
He is played sort of 4-2-4 with Palmer on the number 10 in 80 percent of the games, Mudryk and sometimes Nkunku
15 matches like that and has won
10 matches (some emphatically like v Everton)
Lost 4 games on that formation
(1 vs Man U because of having Cucurella playing on
In those 4 matches its either early Injuries to Chukwumeaka on the Westham match and Pochetino substitution was awkward, Pochetino didliking of Broja forcing him to kill the Wolves match which he removed Broja too early, Man U Cucurella played right back,
We beat Everton 6-0 and following match Pochetino shifted to his favorite tactics

Tuchel in his bad season is still better than pochettino … pochettino from beginning was not the favourite to manage Chelsea i didn’t know why the board didn’t get neglesman for the job… a coach who’s afraid or can’t be on his toes to bench players who are not performing and give those who are been on bench every game a chance, playing Jackson in almost every game missing big chance and yet you can’t bench him and play weishington.. the midfield partnership of Enzo and caicedo is not working out for the team and yet he keep playing same players often, city goal in the fa cup was due to disasi when he was brought in for Gusto and yet you play him against arsenal.. how can you play disasi ,gilchrist,badishile and cucurella against arsenal while silva and chalobah on the bench.. pep switch stones to midfield sometimes and it works out.. klopp played Arnold in the midfield and he’s superb so why can’t pochettino switch players when some of your key players are injured… against arsenal he should’ve go in for cucurella,silva,disasi and chalobah .. play Gallagher along with caicedo or Enzo .. front 3 should’ve been sterling,mudryk and madueke and Jackson upfront…

@@MightySizzler In my own opinion, Noni is a bit better than mudryk for now and Jackson usually makes a good run at the the LW position, Jackson passes into the box and link up play are good, his finishing is terrible, I think Jackson might be able to make a good run at the LW and pass the ball to Washington or palmer for a good finish
