Thanks again for the reaction.😊 I'm glad you enjoyed them.🙂 I only played (or at least watched) the _Castlevania_ games fairly recently. _Symphony of the Night_ is my favourite, with _Super Castlevania IV_ not far behind. _Symphony of the Night_ was so successful that, along with _Super Metroid,_ it started a whole genre of games that, as the Nerd said, is called Metroidvania. It's characterised by roaming a huge map in which certain areas are blocked off until you find the key or a certain item or ability. But I've always wondered, does that make _Resident Evil_ a Metroidvania?
Of all the Castlevania games I've played so far, Super Castlevania IV is my favorite! Like AVGN said, the control on that game is perfect! It's also one of the most beautiful looking games on the SNES! 🙂 He took the nitro to the wrong cracked wall & those statues actually does give you clues how to activate this thing that takes away that white symbol on the wrong cracked wall. But from what I've seen on that walkthrough of the Castlevania 64 game it never tells you that, you have to figure it out on your own.
There was also the Japanese version of Dracula X called Rondo of Blood on the PC Engine (Turbo Graphx-16). That one is also considered superior to the American release on the SNES. It's basically a completely different game.
Super Castlevania 4 is epic! It’s my favorite in the whole series. Symphony of the night and Rondo of blood are really good too. The N64 ones were a disappointment
The Japanese version of Castlevania 3 was better than the American one, IMHO. Two main reasons: 1. It's more fair - less enemies and you can take more damage in later levels 2. The music - Japanese cartridge included a special sound chip for enhanced audio. It sounds pretty bitchin'.
My personal favorites have to be Super Castlevania 4, Bloodlines, Sympathy of the Night and 3 Dracula's Curse. They're all amazing titles, and even like the Castlevania anime that's on Netflix..speaking of which I should watch some more of, been awhile haha
snes super castlevaina 4 i love that game on the best snes game ever i was hyped to play it as a teen i love castlevaina 2 belmont revenge on gameboy the playstation one verson as well and i use to have castlevaina lords of shadow on xbox 360 good game
So now you finally know where my Username comes from. Also you can press start to skip the game over screen in Symphony Of The Night.
