@@cashzk4038 No that's the green bar. Red bar is the energy harvested throughout the lap and the green bar is the amount of energy able to be used throughout the lap. The yellow bar is how much energy you actually have at the current time.

finally someone who knows what the red bar is lol,,, people doesnt pay enough attention to it thru out the race to notice that the moment they apply the brakes the red bar moves coz when u hit the brakes your harvesting energy the energy you harvest is connected to your brakes, im pretty sure it was explained on F1 in real life some years ago

I even noticed that the background of the image of the ERS battery turns green and it flows to the left when you are activelly using any amount of your stored energy and it turns red and flows to the right when you recharge any amount of energy. Pretty cool little detail.

What's even weirder to me is that it seems to change throughout that lap in Jeddah. At points it looks very glossy and then under different lighting it looks matte. Very strange.

To my knowledge, the red bar is how much energy you can harvest from the mguh each lap. If you look at 17:00 you will see how he still recharges from the mguk in the straights, but under breaking, even with deploy on none, when the red bar is full, you regenerate no battery.
Handling 'looks' far more like a sim than a simcade.
Cars are 40-60 (front to rear) weight distribution, so it sounds about right with that 'anchor' feeling because the cars are rear engined.

The red bar isnt an indication how far you are in the lap, its a meter showing you how much ERS you can harvest in a lap

The UI in the menus are kinda... Well, they look like they belong in a mobile game, ngl. The driver's faces... I honestly think that, especially for Verstappen and Gasly, they didn't nail the haircuts. Coolest thing for me, though, was hearing Sainz' actual voice over the radio when you crossed the line in P3. That alone kinda sold the game for me, and if I end up playing MP or Career, I'll never experience it

That’s cause 24 is catered to controller plyrs. To give them more of a chance against personal setups.
I played the beta testing. The handling is very different. And I like in the wet, how a dry line will form eventually. Makes it a lot easier than last years game in the wet

I am NOT a fan of Ferrari but DAMN! That was some good driving with Sainz coming from near last to 3rd. I can't wait to see him kill it with another team next season!
They spoke to pro drivers and F1 drivers have played the game and said it feels more like IRL. Could it be that the feeling is more attuned to real life and its a system we have to get used to?
The kerb riding is a bit ridiculous though. Definitely should have some bottoming out and bouncing over the sausage kerbs.

The only time you will hear anyone say something positive about the handling, they are most likely getting paid.
Also, the F1 drivers feedback was just Max saying "yeah i like my car a bit more pointy" and the rest was just the devs.

But the steering wheels interface is all the same;

The tyre wear, kerbs, and the weight distribution looks very concerning
Yeah it is diffecult and i like it! Also think it is way more realistic. F1 23 had a way too easy handling in my opinion. Smooth driving style is what is promoted the most calm turning. It saves the tires and is quicker!
@@GPitstra37 its not more realistic, in theory the physics are more realistic but more complex physics dose not equate to more realistic handling especially as in the case of f1 24 its designed for a controller then ported over to a wheel
@@awakeandwatching953 it feels more realistic to me. Micro corrections is what they also alway make in real life and slow speed since the cars are so heavy. Weight tranfser is also noticable something that was not this present in f1 23. With that i do agree that the steering rate on a wheel is very small. But that i believe is easier changable. It is not the whole handling model.

Is this game going to be playable on the pad? When i turn the sterling wheel is the game going to assist me when i have steering assist off like it was in f1 23 which was unplayable on the pad

@@kk-xy5mq When i try to turn it seems like the game auto turns a bit and makes the steering very sensative sometimes because of it i cant even turn and i have the assist off and i use controller settings and setups from sim racing setups

Handling that isn't realistic. Handling that if mirrored on any racing game it would send the community running for the hills. Kerbs that don't effect the car, that's an improvement? People that learn to play on this are gonna be screwed when moving to a real sim.
I’m have a very aggressive driving style but the handling in this game looks horrible for wheel players. It’s unnaturally sharp and arcade like.
