I see Riddley really do think Napoleon as Bonnie the Ogre lol
I’m binge-watching this series after seeing Scott’s film last night. Can’t get enough.
Malkovich is an excellent actor ! He does duplicitous villains so excellently. 😊
best portrayal of talleyrand in movie/tv production
So you’re telling me a significantly lower budget project from 2002 can make a more badass depiction of Austerlitz than Ridley’s frozen lake fiasco 😮
Granted I enjoy both productions but still….
France has so gloriously preserved the palaces of the nobility despite the Revolution so they never run out of locations for period films like this.
Except Tuileries Palace, which was burned down by communist revolutionaries in 1870
I can't imagine having talked to a child not a minute ago about possibilities of her future along with her dreams coming true only to see her body lying there a second later. That's got to be really messed up.
yeah that was messed up
I really hope this miniseries would get a major rerelease to make Ridley Scott feel even more ashamed of his movie.
Thank you so very, VERY much for this...!
Thank you for uploading these
damn, what happen with "when you die mother, ill be surrounded by inferiors" then he says " you will think in silence, to paces behind her" .
43:03 I just fucking love everyone's initial expression here at Napoleon saying he'll be on vacation while the army marches. Talleyrand: *blink* wat? Murat: 'what the fuck is this bullshit' officer 1: "jesus christ..." officer 2: "bro what the fuck?"
Why do they make marshall Ney a buffoon?
Ney was extremely brave and a decent general.
ciaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ragazzi
Nelson, Nelson, who is this Nel-Son?
The vice admiral of the British fleet. Napoleon was to invade Britain, but he crushed the combined Franco-Spanish fleet at the Battle of Trafalgar, sacrificing himself but allowing the British navy to control dominance of the seas, thus making Napoleon abandoning the invasion plans.
@@revolutionarymarxist-lenin7252they were quoting the movie lol
@@revolutionarymarxist-lenin7252whoosh
32:13 It's Henry the eight all over again lol
Napoleon the rizzler
See, that's the problem with Ridley/Pheonix's Napoleon : no frenchmen ever had this cold, stoic and depressing attitude. That's just unfrench lol we would never have followed such a boring and weird guy. It lacks the passion, exuberance, humour and intelligence of Christian Clavier's interpretation. Napoleon's life is supposed to be one of the most exciting and epic of all times, not a succession of long and depressing scenes of marital problems...
~the golden eagle~ vs. the perfidious Albion

This was the correct strategy. Eliminate the continental threat before striking at England. But England knew that it was its own head that was always going to be on the block.
Although great series, Josephine is so annoying and Murat acts like an idiot :D And ofc, not an historically accurate series BUT fun
Official history is propaganda
Napoleon in this series looks too much heroic but still the best show/movie about him (the battles seem small but still better than the new Napoleon movie, of course Waterloo and the old War and Peace movies are by far the best napoleonic era warfare battle movies).
More accurate than Scott's film for sure
I think Rosselini is the best actress in the entire cast, which I admit is not the best....
That and the "lackluster" cinematography are the two biggest drawbacks of this miniseries
But this French production’s Josephine is more sympathetic and wise than Scott’s neurotic Josephine.😅 and Rossellini is certainly a more beautiful one.😊
Murat was an idiot
