  • actually i don’t think all the lines from this song are good for their relationship but these two people really deserve each other. Carrie was willing to kill Saul with the bomb and Saul left her in Russian prison. one difference between them is Quinn who stopped Carrie and couldn’t stop Saul for obvious reasons. but the mainline "no time to die" is really great for their dynamic because they have all but not the time to die (and live of course) in peace

Al final pudimos ver , que Saúl siempre tuvo planes concretos para ella, un objetivo, todo fue una preparación.

She's s super character, though the TV show were getting worse closer to the end, but she was holding the high plank of her play

Why does Saul consider Brody an irredeemable terrorist, but not Aileen?
The scenes before and when she dies were really touching between them. He is able to see her as a person and not a monster. But after Brody helped them and got their deal and Carrie says that she will choose Brody over the CIA, he calls her stupid and says she will always be a terrorist no matter what he did to help them and what they were. their motivations.
What makes it so in Saul's eyes, Aileen is not a clear terrorist, but Brody is? If Brody made the time would that change things? Maybe he thinks Brody had a very comfortable arrangement? And Saul clearly agrees on how confusing the drone attack was when he talks to Walden and Estes. Sometimes I feel like he has contradictions in his character that go beyond richness and depth and just don’t make sense/are not good writing.I mean, the other thing is he cares about doing the right thing enough to want to let Brody live to honor the deal. When he talked to Estes about it, Estes said we don’t do business with terrorists. Well, if Saul thinks that once a terrorist always a terrorist, why doesn’t he agree with Estes? Maybe at least arrest him? Like, yeah, maybe he doesn’t like extralegal black ops assassinations, but if you really think that a trained soldier who is connected to terrorist ideologies and movements is not reformable, one would think Estes is right, that he needs to go somehow. If not by death, then by imprisonment. I admired Saul for trying to stop that murder, but it’s inconsistent to say that this person will always be a terrorist, dangerous, volatile, and I also think he should be able to be free and on the streets.
Well, first of all, Saul definitely related to Aileen personally, and that was sort of the whole point of their scenes in “The Weekend.” Especially the diner scene.
You very effectively pointed out that Saul’s viewpoint here was contradictory and hypocritical - that is, that he is human. Saul’s hatred for Brody I believe comes more from a paternal need to protect Carrie (and/or prove that they were the same) than it does anything else Brody had done in the past. The more Carrie loved him, the more she threw logic and reason to the wind to protect him, the more Saul hated him.
So, of course, Saul’s viewpoint here is contradictory and hypocritical - but of course, he is human. We all hold perspectives that are contradictory and hypocritical. The show is wrapped up in this. How can Carrie believe at turns she was put on the earth to meet and love Brody, and also that she was put on the earth to fight terrorists? The paradox is at the core of the show.

WRONG! Saul was the master who trained Carrie to do his dirty work. He used her over and over again to further his own male ambitions.
Leaving her with the Russians was soul murder.
