Black would win easily by taken knight on c3 in move 62, that is after white moved 62 Kc2 in the position where black Rook was on b3, white knight on c3 and white King on c2.. because after 62 - RxK 63 KxR - Kd5 the pawn on c5 is doomed and extra pawn on a-file would give black plenty time to Queening pawn on f-file after few King- moves.
a5! very very interesting exchange sacrifice. After that, white is simply better. Very good played from Mamedov. Rfd1?? is a big mistake, probabily he was overconfident. After that, Smirnov played quiet well, considering his zeitnot. But R:c3 at 45:50 should be automatic for a GM.
It's not interesting at all. Mamedov is trying to imitate Stockfish (but nobody can actually do that) just like other GMs. He just remembered this variation when he prepared for the game. That rook (exchange sacrifice) was poisoned there is no way he found that variation in a rapid game, as i said he memorized it lot earlier before the game started. The exchange sacrifice in this game is something similar like in the frankenstein-dracula variation (GMs also memorize that as well before the match). Yes white is winning acording to Stockfish. I wonder how would game end if AlphaZero played as black after the rook sacrifice.
I'm interesting in getting this chess set. I'm in the US and we just don't have the German Knight sets available. I want to get a heavily weighted set. Does anyone know the specs for this set? I'm hoping it's a 3.75" King (95 mm) with a weight of around 80 grams. Please let me know if these sets are available anywhere with specs listed. Thank you very much.
@@chessbrilliance8783 I don't think he missed it, but he tought it was better to keep the rook. And it was not, of course, because the knight is very tricky when you have no time.
I am going to be honest and confess: Instead of Smirnov's 83...h5-h4 I was tempted to go 83...Ra3xNe3? which would only result in a draw. I thought Black was faster, but that not the case.
rapid chess ?? mamedov so strong opening so weak middle game lost a exchange in 1 move ! and after defending with hope only bravo to smirnov all the game with zeitnot ...i like his poker face !
Yeah, why the heck didnt he just take his rook to where his king and two pawns where at and start gobble gobble, it wasnt anything mamedov couldve done...
Smirnov is a cool cucumber under time pressure. Played almost the whole game with 15 seconds on the clock.
the game at beside had already started? The clock
Aquele duplo de CXT foi decisivo!
Nice!

I was 100% sure he will blitz it out and win the pawn endgame. Odd.

Who, or what, clicks 'dislike' on a chess match?

...Rxc 3! minute 45.50
0-1
Lol yeah how can he miss such an easy move! It was winning on the spot!
Minute?
For those who are asking, 45:50

Korek...i saw it too
Even later, after white played c6, black had ...Rd4+ instead of ...Rb6

@@milankotevski1663 i know dude 😂😂 i’m almost 1600 on lichess that was a joke
excelente tecnica de Smirnov!!!!
White made a good fork in the beginning but declined to trade k for c..
C?
mamedov he looks like arabien men :)
Check out. Tony Biggz defeats stock fish 10 in 1min 13sec. Only 18 moves Level 12cpu on pro mode.
R:c3 and the whites surrendered
im not sure why they shook hhands and ended the game... Play on and Black wins the game!!
You need a lesson. Lmao
At the end of the game, White resigned.
Bad blunder missing nb4

what a horrible technique by smirnov

white has played wrongly.
zzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
Black threw away a win by not advancing the pawn to queening square. This endgame isn't difficult and he botched it.
