Basically there was only around 20-30secs between the old and new Hotpoint machines but obviously the newer one went into anti-crease mode which adds another 2-3 mins onto the cycle. I like both machines as the old 1980's one is exactly like my grans machine she had in the mid-late 1980's (which was sometimes in use when I visited with my parents when I was a little nipper and I used to sit in front of the machine mesmerized by it (also my parents Electra Branded Hoover Electron A3060 machine from the mid-late 70's) - and now I am beginning to become interested again at 41) and the newer model (circa 2010's?) is very quiet!
The new model is practically 2020. I bought it as Brand New for £330. (RRP is actually £489) the old hotpoint featured was produced from 1986 with a update in 1988 and ended production in 1990.
My family currently has an old zanussi wdj1285b and my cousins had the same machine. We chose to repair ours and they bought a new one. They are currently on their 3rd new washing machine. Only had the change the drainage pump and lock mechanism... machines over 20 years old Shows how much better old washing machines are!
Wrong, older machines are worse due to lower spin speeds meaning it takes longer to dry laundry Modern machines have speeds up to 1400rpm and that extracts way more water meaning shorter drying times
Congratulations for 50k subs and, the old hotpoint as always and as usual, the best ;-) No suds or unbalance detection sensors. Just gets along with the spinning and does quick ramp-ups to save time. Also has more flexibility on choosing programs or starting in the middle of programs as electromechanical timers are always more flexible, and last longer. Even if the 9530 still has an electronic (PCB) system in it (it's obvious, it's called "Electronic 1000 Plus"), it's an analog, not digital!
Don't be so dumb Modern machines are much better to the environment and they can prevent damage happening to the laundry and drum bearings because of unbalanced loads Frequently putting unbalanced loads in a machine will do serious damage over time eventually rendering the machine useless Also older machines would never spin that fast New machines are way better when spinning as many have speeds as fast as 1400rpm 1400rpm can get a lot of water out of laundry and that is why people prefer modern machines these days
@@stephensnell1379 *older machines never spin that fast* - 1985 - Creda Debonair Micron 1250rpm, August 1986 - Hotpoint 9560 at 1400rpm, early 1990s, Hoover were reaching 1500-1600rpm with their New Waves....in fact nowadays, 1400 is more common than 1600 with machines.
The old one : none of the nonsense faffing and just getting on with the spins beautifully and amazing fast acceleration. Shame the grotpoint active care doesn't live up to the old one.
You dickhead newer machines have sensors for detecting load size and out of balance loads to protect the clothes and machine as well The modern machines are the best as thry have higher spin speeds thus making drying clothes easier, older machines would never go above 800rpm wgich isn't fast enough,1400rpm on modern machines is way better
