  • This is my overview of the Beringer wheels over the Match wheels that come stock with the SlingTsi. My normal build video for August may be a bit later in the month as I was out at Oshkosh for 10 days this year and am just finishing up the clean up from the travels. I'll be back to work soon.

We started this build in July of 2021 with the hopes of completing it in about 2 years time. This is my/our first time building an airplane and we’re pretty excited to be doing so.

No pants with the Beringers, correct? How do these compare with the upgraded Matco ones @evanbrunye has put on?

I should be able to use the same pants that came with the plane as the wheel size is the same with the same mounting hardware. The part I still need to get is the bolt for the axel which allows for the pants to be attached from the outside.
I "spoke" with a gentleman on the Sling pilot forum who has this on his Tsi and was referred to Henry at Midwest Sky Sports. They build a ton of the Slings. Henry indicated there wasn't any issue with the pants.
I haven't seen the upgraded wheels from Mato to compare them against, so I couldn't speak to them unfortunately.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

I've been quite happy with the upgraded double-puck Matco brakes that Evan pioneered. Easy $800 upgrade, vs several thousand for the Beringers. Evan might also be experimenting with Grove brakes in the future. Good to have so many options!
