For those comenting on Linda's sub-par performance, I am pretty sure this was the time when I saw them in London (Shaw Theatre), when Richard and Linda were in the process of breaking up, and apparently not speaking to each other. It's been described as 'the tour from hell'.
Consider yourself lucky. I want to see RT live so bad. I just found out RT played 28 miles away from me but I was working and had no idea he was even coming to my state until too late! : (
Happy Birthday Linda Thompson born on August 23, 1947. She is an English folk rock singer. Thompson is one of the most recognised names and voices in the British folk rock movement of the 1970s and 1980s, in collaboration with fellow British folk rock musician, guitarist Richard Thompson, to whom she was married for ten years, and later as a solo artist. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_Thompson_(singer)
For anybody complaining about Lindas performance, this performance should be about the time she started to have her vocal chord problems due to a disease I’ve forgotten the name of.
This line up was the infamous 'tour from hell' when Richard and Linda were splitting up. I saw them in London and you could feel the tension, but the music was great. Who is it playing 12 string electric? Wonderful John Kirkpatrick on accordian, of course.
"Kind of wish?!" Writing negativity should feel like a waste of time (as I write something negative about your opinion I realized how unfulfilling it is to be THAT Guy)
I am just discovering talented folk-rock duos. This one has a wonderful sound.

I mean, there's fault to go around. I can't help feeling horrible for Linda. She looks so tired.
My song during Covid lockdown. But great and timeless.
Richard Thompson you are the most awesome person I love
When you love somebody no-one stop you no one can cam hold you but the one that love you

The "Savage She-Hulk" brought me here!
same here. glad to know the music supervisors got some good taste.

Indeed, spasmodic dysphonia is the disease, first symptoms started in 72.
Great version.
It's always nice to hear the fundementals of 'R+B/R&B' .....
Awesome!
This is a tight little version, in my opinion. I didn't think the vocals were that bad.
I love this but who on earth directed it? I can’t even figure out who most of the band are (though I can guess)
Richard and Linda, John Kirkpatrick on accordian/melodian, is it Dave mattacks on drums? not sure about bass.
Love respect and other lesser emotions
All hail St. Rappeo!
Isn't there a song that Richard accompanies Linda Ronstadt or am I incorrect ?
Questions are neither correct nor incorrect.
@@adamtzsch well what ever. I'm still wondering.. the song is a cover I think.
Is
@@ralphtouch8962 She covered the Linda Thompson song “Telling Me Lies”. The song is purportedly *about* Richard. Took me about 3 minutes on Google.
@@ralphtouch8962 Ronstadt also covered Richard’s “King of Bohemia”.
She-Hulk brought me here
Looper movie junk scene?
LT looks sooooo mad.
Never mind Linda's sub-par performance: who the hell directed this? "Here's Richard's solo- cut to the drummer!"
Just found this , not a patch on the original, no brass band.
Where's Richard?
Appears at 3:00
I'm reminded of an SNL appearance by Talking heads in 78-79. Tina? Who's that? Should she be in these shots? Ooops...
Jill sandwich, anyone?
Richards solo acoustic puts this to shame. Just his talent is all you need
Linda is a mess here but I still dig this video clip.
Surprisingly poor from Linda

@@simbee3634 Thanks, I was wondering. The stradella bass on a black 3 row button accordion - who else!
Fantastic song but spoilt by the strange vocal sound
Is that the dysphonia starting to kick in? So cruel.
No thanks…Julie Covingon all day
Well that was a waste of time, better look for the 1974 version
lindentr33 So, yes, Linda sounds like a drunk Karaoke accident; but this arrangement is pretty cool in and of itself.
I saw nothing wrong with this clip.
And this is a very cool song.
It speaks of better things.
Breaking out.
lindentr33 Why do you feel this was a waste of time?
Says the guy posting in the internet comments section.
Not the one. It wasn't a live cut
Kind of wish I never watched this version. Great song, but her vocals here are crap!
"Kind of wish?!"
