In a way it's about another historic relationship, that of the patron and their artisans. This series was also self-referencing the whole time, on its role as art. The story of the translator, as we enjoy this story through its translator. Loved the thought in this series, not the first time, and certainly won't be the last. This is what storytelling used to be like when the west was selling that dream to the eastern block. Here we have South Korea in that role, selling an idea of liberty and modernity to its northern cousins and in turn sharing those same ideals to the rest of the consumerate world.
You really recommend it that much? I'll give it a try i just finished Dr. Stone. good for children and adult. it will surely capture tbe general public just like Disney. It has the perfect blend of knowledge and drama concepts.
WHEN THIS SONG FIRST PLAYED AT THE END OF EPISODE 9. MY GOD. I'm a music guy and certain songs can bring me to tears simply because of the beauty of the instrumentals composition and sounds. I had to pause mid-scene and rewind like 8 times. The melody, the vibe. ART
This is so true of a lot of korean and asian dramas, the music is so so nostaligic. It the way pop or RnB use to sound. Its like they absorbed all the best bits and refused to let go. This is music which wont make the charts in the west, and yet its what people deep down want to hear. Up beat, infectious and heart warming.

DanHwa couple, literally not your typical couple. Seo Dan Ah's character is so strong that intimidate Yeonghwa. But, in the last episode, I love how Yeonghwa speak for himself. Yes he like her but being look down by someone you like is not easy. He's hurt. And Dan Ah, seeing how he bothered by him is a sign that she will like him more, soon. And I am waiting for that.

SOOYOUNG was PERFECT for this role. No disrespect to the main couple (they were great also), but for me the Yeonghwa & Dan Ah characters made the show.
Ms. Seo was so beautiful and broken by her family that this romance broke me far more then the main romance. Ever twist and turn between these two made me feel. I know the ending was a little up in the air if they broke up or got together but I want to believe they made it and worked out in the end.

I got so excited when I saw this male actor appear in this new show because I *instantly* recognized him from first first love! he’s such a dynamic actor that stands out from other K-dramas and I find myself rooting for the side couples more than the main if he’s in it.

He doesn't bend to her will, and she can't believe how attracted she is to him. That dynamic is very attractive. Time for them to have their own K-drama. PS loved Shin Se-kyung in Rookie Historian, talk about a complete woman.
