    So happy I get to share with y'all Joey Justice's first time working on a leash. I am excited to start to work with him more and more and see him progress. Keep puppy training sessions short and fun. Try to have as many wins as possible with every command and minimize failures as much as possible. That is one reason I want to keep sessions short. Puppies do not have a long attention span so I want him to have win after win after win. We have some amazing training courses linked below which will help further your leadership with your dog. They are amazing for all dog breeds and all dog ages. It is never too late to turn your dog around and create the dog of your dreams. Use the links below along with code "jason" to get 10% off!

      I think the only way is to train justice alone, cause Bruce knows yr voice and commands, but then again he sits by Kara without moving.

    I will place my older dogs in a sit-stay, or a down-stay when training the puppies right beside them in our training area. I use their names repeatedly, and they do know their names, so it all comes together perfectly in a very short manner of time. (We breed and train GSD’s)

    Thank you for you shedding light as in real life events with Bruce. And after losing our Rottweiler a year ago due to age we are ready for a another Family member. My wife and I reached out to the breeder that you got Bruce from and even we live in Florida we are more than willing to head north to pick a new bundle of joy.

    Amazing as always! So fun to see that it only took Bruce 1 month to warm up to Justice! It's easy to forget that when meeting other pups they only meet for I guess 10-20 minutes or longer. But when dogs are spending whole days with one another it's another ballgame:D Realy love the frequency that you put up the videos! makes my days so good!

    Coming along really well, Joey is a super inquisitive & smart young man. Having Bruce so well trained/behaved is definitely setting a good example to follow. Hopefully they stay best friends once Joey is sexually mature.

    Jason. I also have 2 cane corso’s and went through this very issue. I would put my girl in a sit stay so i could work with my Maui. I would put Shelby across the room in the sit stay and work Maui. As Maui aged i would then also put him in a sit stay while i work with Shelby then trade off. This way both are being worked at the same time. It’s definitely something they have to learn but with repetition they quickly get the routine down. I also make them earn everything as well. From food to even being able to go out side and come inside. Maui always has to wait for Shelby to go out. I always tell him ladies first and he has to sit back away from the door. Sometimes he has to go into a down then i let him out. This helped me reinforce I’m in charge since he pushes boundaries way more than my girl.

    Start by releasing them one at the time when feeding, that will evolve into the "Name - command" - meaning the other dog would ignore the command.

    A friend had a german shepard that was highly trained both with verbal and hand commands, took in a rescue puppy that learnt all the commands in a very short period of time. Im sure that justice will learn most from seeing what bruce does with each command

    Micah and Leonidas are 4 months apart. So when we called their name, for some reason they knew it was their turn🤷‍♀️. Now separating them has become a issue. They don’t like it. They don’t act out, just their demeanor let’s us know it bothers them. Leonidas turns one on the 15. Today we took them to a different park, and he would not get out of the truck. Was literally shaking. My husband ended up walking Micah and I sat at the truck with Leonidas. Weird. We are gonna be patient and keep going back on our off days though. These dogs can be so confusing at times. Every day is a new day with Leonidas. Thank goodness Micah is pretty solid. For him not to go with her, he was very frightened

    Hi so good to see how well they are going😊. Having three dogs in multiple dog sports myself and with one being Sheep herding with my Border collie I know people who work multiple dogs around stock and they will use the dog's name before the command so for example "Bruce down, Justice come". The dogs can learn to hold their last command until they hear their name then follow that next task. If they want all dogs to dogs to come then they will either say "all dogs come" or something like "everyone come". This way when moving big numbers of sheep or cows they can have each dog in the right place. This idea may be challenging while also teaching a pup the commands though but whatever you do I'm sure they will both do excellent 😄.

    Hi, sorry for my bad english I just wanna say... dogs learn by imitation, they see and learn what another dog do. You can try doing few excersices whith Bruce and Justice see from apart and then change whith Justice. Ah! And you should use diferent commands to avoid confuse dogs later. You have wonderful dogs and I enjoy the videos

    I have never trained 2 dogs, but my best guess would be to give them each a separate, different command with their name before the command. That way they will each get to know that the only time they get rewarded in this situation is when the command is given after their name. eg. Justice sit, when they both sit, only reward justice. Then Bruce down, only reward Bruce if they both down.

    We have 2 rotties - I commented many times on your videos. When we got our puppy, the older dog was 2. I trained the puppy with heel and leash walking without the other dog with us. Because I wanted to go walk around other areas and get leash walking in. I noticed you are doing it with Bruce around. Would you recommend one way or the other? I physically couldn't do it with both dogs with me. So I had to do 10 minute increments with the puppy on leash.

    Hey Jason and Kara.
    Love your channel. I have always had big dogs. My best dog ever was a smooth faced Neapoliitan mastiff. I am future planning for a Cane Corso, so I have been checking out
    your site.
    Suggestions for double dog training. I believe in taking time just you or Kara and Justice without
    Bruce. Just some focus time. Like you have stated, pups have a short attention span so initially ( during his first 12 weeks) the one on one can help him to solid up his new behaviors. Later I would include Bruce after Justice has the basics down. Then he can practice along with Bruce with what he's learned.
    My cousin raises and shows her Cane Corsos too. Raney may have some ideas for you too. I can share her info with you if you'd like.
    Thanks for sharing Little brother progress. They are both beautiful. Peace.

    I think personally if you want them to do commands separately I would start to train Bruce by saying Bruce stay instead of just stay and do the same with justice but saying justice stay just because they both know there names. But I don’t know I think this would work but there probably is a better way

    Here's the separation strategy that I've used with several dogs I've had and I've trained over the years basically you are doing correct except use Justice name every time you would want him to do something and Bruce's name every time you want Bruce's name in time they will realize a he is talking to me also you will have Justice imitating Bruce which is a good thing considering Bruce looks like he doesn't need much training anymore so Bruce will be training Justice as well as you guys

  • @leonelcoutinho8276
    @leonelcoutinho8276 2 роки тому

    My tip for training dogs individually would be to use different commands because otherwise it will be harder for Bruce to understand you are not talking to him, since those were the commands you used for years with him

  • @corporalsmithxx9528
    @corporalsmithxx9528 2 роки тому +2

    Buy yourself a treat bag as you can access treats quicker than fumbling around in a plastic bag. Give the command once don't keep repeating it because your puppy will expect sit to be said 2 or 3 times before doing it. If he doesn't sit the first time take a couple of steps forward then stop and tell him to sit if he doesn't put him in the sit then take a couple of steps forward and tell him to sit. As jj is food based keep using treats then start weaning him off treating two sits, don't treat the third treat the fourth then don't treat every second sit. Training with BW with you is going to prove difficult as he wants to be a part of it, just a little jealous as all of your attention is on jj when it used to be on him so do the training just with jj but play games with both.

    Use different set of commands. That is the easy one. For me once worked when i started to point in front of my face and looking for eye contact but dogs were adults when they met so they had different type of connection levels with me. Maby Kara can take Bruce on stay and praise that stay and just look at you doing some drills with JJ? Just sayin ;)
