I found your channel during my crash course and I’m so excited and grateful I found your channel very helpful. I scored 450 in my OET reading. Thank you
I tried your approach and it worked. Before I was unable get pass question number 16 But with your approach I confidently finished almost all. Thank you
Doc- thank you for advice - I have done many reading practice test in my strategy, I use to spend up to 3mints to skimming the subtexts- then I go to answers the questions 8-20 , then I go back to answer questions 1-7 - to be honest I found it very challenging and I have noticed my score always sucked between 16 to 17 -I barley score 18 . I think from now I will follow your strategies -I will not spend more than one minute for the initial skimming
Thanks for your tips Doc!you mentioned in your previous video about oet reading tips(overall) that in part A, you should start from questn 8 ie do the first part(1-7) of the questn last but in this video you said we should start from question number 1..it’s confusing, please can you explain better on that..thank you.
In order to finish part A on time, it's advisable to start from question number 8. This trick has worked perfectly for most persons, although some still prefer to start from question number 1.
It depends on the event and how you structure your sentence. For example: Examination findings- febrile, pale, BP 160/70, wt 107kg, ht 151cm. Then your sentence can flow this way: Mr Taylor is overweight and he was noticed to be febrile and pale. ( I used is because his weight and height cannot just fluctuate today, whereas I used was noticed because I am reporting an event already done and the findings of these event can change anytime, i.e the patient can be febrile now and become afebrile in a minute time.
If I commit mistake in the real exams while writing an answer, should I erase it and write the correct answer or should I just draw a line over previous writing and write the correct answer next to it?
It depends on whether you are writing with a pen or pencil. If it's a pencil, you can easily erase and rewrite. On the other hand, if you are using a pen, you just have to strike your mistake off by drawing a line through it but don't paint your work. I used pencil when I wrote mine and I think it's better.

Hi Doc, how about part A sections that doesn't have headings, how do we get a hint on what the whole text is all about
You can read the first sentence in each paragraph. These are usually the topic sentences, where the highlight of each paragraph is summarised.
Thank you Doc.
doc- in writing - what the tenses we have to use for the last visite I mean (on today's visite / on review today ) ?
It depends on the event and how you structure your sentence. For example: Examination findings- febrile, pale, BP 160/70, wt 107kg, ht 151cm. Thank u Dr ....
Please when you are practicing for the first time do you need to time yourself
Yes. Timing yourself is very important in all the modules.
Can we comeback to part A after finishing B and C if there's time left?
No. Part A will be collected at exactly 15 minutes before Parts B & C will be given to you.
