@mattthetrashman Fueling is really really simple, basically at the end of the day, you park the truck and "plug it in" - each truck has a fuel line at it's parking space. It can take as little as 5 mins to fill a truck (they have a slow filling system). If there's a bunch of trucks plugged in and filling it can take much longer. I think the Lakeland yard wants to be ALL CNG within the next few years. Suppose to be getting CNG FEL's soon (you may have seen a pic of one at Waste Expo).
@mtr82952 Thanks! I'll definitally try. If I don't get the Republic Services Top Selects, there are a few other cities on my filming list that still use them, and actually sort the recyclables.
@Trashman242 I have the audio problem too, these clips were being all wierd during editing. This video is actually what I managed to scrape together from 2 days worth of crappy footage. First the camera was acting up, then the tripod, but to answer everyone who asked, I do plan to go back and get more, enough for a nice 20 min long video. Alan is very good on these trucks, there's this really cool trick he does I didn't manage to get footage of, next time for sure.
Alan's obviously just a natural garbo :P Very squeaky arm on this truck and still very new, or is that just a characteristic of Heil ASLs? haha Looking at this though, the job seems to easy up there - come to Warringah where there are cars parked everywhere and where residents sandwich the bins together :D
Wow, that's fast.... this guy gets it done! 'War of the worlds' comes to sanitation! Does this guy wait for you to get the next spot, or do you just race ahead and wait for him to show up?!
Nice! Allan is awesome at driving, good to see him in action. It seems the new 7000s aren't as squeaky and run smoother then the last batch purchased (like this one) don't you think?
So whats up with the CNG? Is that what I have to look forward to? We got 4 M/As this year with the new DEF exhaust and I was lucky to get one temporarily. We have 9 more trucks coming in November but I don't know what they will be powered by. I'm assuming that if a fleet starts getting CNG, they almost have to go all or nothing. I could be wrong but where do you fuel up? BTW, we are getting the new ZR's this year. Should be interesting trying to automate single subscription.
@georgewuzheer Not all of them,I have a video of one that barely squeaks if it squeaks at all. And it's 15 years old! Maybe they were designed better back then.

Does anyone know why the arm was squeaking?
@Trashman242 I also had that issue.
Does this truck have the MP7 or MP8 engine?
Needs grease
@Trashman242 But Python beats 7000 at 300 gal carts. I still like Republic's new 7000s better though
I have been
