@@chiaratippy After TWELVE years, He finally come to her and it's about sex? They deserved better. We needed words. He should have asked about Thomas firstly. After all the drama about Donna kissing him when he was with Paula, He didn't show any concern about her being in a relationship. A simple 'Thomas' from him and a shake of her head would have sufficed. A declaration of feeling from him was also required. If she had opened the door and he had said 'I love you' without us seeing her face even, would have been more satisfying. Donna also wasn't that emotional. She was more passionate when they kissed in season 7. Harvey's passion for her made up for it, thank goodness, otherwise smh. Donna had no passion and what was with the smile when he came to her door. She wasn't surprised enough. If they had stopped at him kissing her. It would have been fine too cuz then I would hope that they would pick it up with them breaking the kiss and talking in season 9. After all the words they have spoken and all the questions between them, their connection wasn't about sex, they've had sex before. The words mean more! Anyway hope this long rant is somewhat understandable lol Thanks again for this video! You have no idea!

I do agree that Korsh took the easiest way out to make them happen and visually it has more of an impact than two people sitting and having a talk, though I do agree it was needed. BUT I also think that they are so bad at talking about their feelings, especially Harvey. God, he is so so bad at expressing what he feels, especially when it comes to Donna, it's so frustrating to watch. Good for us Gabriel is so good at showing Harvey's true feelings through his face when it is needed, so when Donna opens the door and sees it she just knows why he's there and what's going on in his mind, and so do we. He's ready and she knows, and when she takes those steps back she's letting him know that it's not too late, that she's free, that she's his if he takes those steps and reaches to her, and he does. The words we would've liked them to share with each other, they shared with other people, and of course it's not the same thing, but we do know what they mean to each other and honestly, we've known for years. I'm sure they will have a talk after, I have no idea if they'll have it on or off screen though. When she understands why Harvey's there, I think she just smiles because she knows, as much as she's denied her feelings to herself and to him, she's always waited for him and at that moment she knows she doesn't have to wait anymore. She silently teases him by taking that step back, like saying "I've been waiting for ages, now it's your turn, you'll have to take the (literal) final step, so come and get me." He did, and she just relished his touches as they explored their bodies after so long. It wasn't about the sex, it was about Harvey finally opening himself and Donna accepting his feelings (and viceversa). I do have to agree that at my first watch I thought they looked a little "awkward" but I must say the scene works much better after rewatching it. I also have to stress that personally I had started to lose hope Korsh would ever give us canon!Darvey, so when it happened I was all too happy to finally see them together, so I guess my expectations were too low to be disappointed in the final result. xD I'm sorry I wrote so much! LOL Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I love when you guys let me know how you feel about the characters! :)

I agree that when watched as part of the episode, there's the build up of all their conversations with other people. It's just that later it occurs that neither one of them are privy to the conversations had with others so it seems rather random. However, given that Harvey has 'said' things that have appeared to be the beginning of them and backtracked, it was necessary to have this definitive action of kissing her of his own volition. I guess after we've watched season 9, we can take it all as a whole.... I loved your analysis. Don't get me started, we'll fill up this whole page LOL.
