The US market did not get the 1.6 Vtec engine in the si variant, unless the previous owner did a foreign variant swap
The engine came from an EG Si hatch or an EG8/EJ1. My friend I bought it from has more cars than he knows what to do with and his AWD wagon is a D15B VTEC.
