এই সিলেবাস চেঞ্জ টা আরো 5 বছর আগে দরকার ছিল। শুধু টিক মেরে মেরে বিসিএস অফিসার হয়ে যাওয়া। 2015 আগের ডব্লিউ বিসিএস অফিসার এবং 2015 পরের ডব্লিউ বিসিএস অফিসার তাদের দক্ষতার মধ্যে আকাশ-পাতাল তফাৎ রয়েছে। আমি নিজে বিডিও অফিসে কাজের সূত্রে গিয়ে দেখেছি।
প্রথমে বলি UPSC এর মতো হুবহু এক সিলেবাস হচ্ছে না। একটা খামচানো সিলেবাস তৈরী হতে চলেছে। কারণ Paper Vi তো Ethics and Integrity হতে হতো তা না করে Math,Reasoning কেন হবে?according to upsc pattern এমন ই তো হওয়া উচিত.. এই সিলেবাস টা কি পার্মানেন্ট নাকি কমিশন আবার পাল্টাবে?এছাড়াও Indian Society,Security,Governance এসব তো কিছু ই যোগ হচ্ছে না? এটা কি ধরনের upsc pattern? Descriptive is about 1000 times more rote learning than MCQ. You think UPSC tests analytical knowledge in Descriptive GS papers in Mains? Check the toppers' copy. All of them write similar mugged up answers in bullet points with some tatti diagrams and then become IAS, IPS. There is no analytics at all in their answer copies, they just include some current data and that's all. MCQ can be far more challenging than Descriptive if set in proper way like UPSC CSE Prelims, JEE Mains, Advanced and NEET.

Their answers be like: Introduction: write the same question itself with few more words. Body: write few problems, give some facts and then give the solution by writing the problems again and telling what to do and not to do. And you are good if you can provide some recent data, govt schemes, reference to reports etc. Conclusion: Give a balanced reply like Govt should take care of this while keeping in mind.......... This is the answer copy of every UPSC aspirants. This pattern of 150/250 words is not capable of testing someone's analytical skill. It's about how much they can intake and vomit on paper. Look at the JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, NEET papers. They test the real merit, knowledge and analytical skill. And all of them are in that A,B,C,D pattern. But our civil service system requires them to take pressure of mugging up and not using their analytical skill. That's why we are still using these old patterns.
