Anyone who has the balls to take on a Jamerson masterpiece has earned my respect...Well done!!!
thank you! have a look around the channel, i tackle a new Jamerson line every week - never a boring moment in his basslines!
@@justsomebasslines I will mate! Your an extremely competent player and a pleasure to watch 👍
Dude! By your cover done masterfully, BTW and all the comments, I finally realize I'm not the only one that LOVES this baseline, performed by the one-and-only James Jamerson. Thanks for sharing 🤗 🙏
THANK YOU!! I've always preferred this version of the song
One of my very favorite bass lines ever! Special thanks for this one Andrew. Awesome!
you got it Frank, it's a favorite of mine too, glad you enjoyed!
One of the best love songs ever
I noticed that you have that sponge underneath the strings, definitely a James Jamerson thang. 🔥💥🔥💥🎶🎼🎵🎸 Beautiful composition and playing too
thanks John, gotta get that thumpy tone right :)
One of my all time faves. Love the bassline, great work
Gonna learn this for sure! Thank you sir!!👍
have fun!
You’re the best I’ve seen playing this, besides James Jamerson himself
that's far too kind, thank you!
Stellar performance!! Iconic bassline & song always loved & preferred this version 👌🏾 Thanks for doing this one! Terrific job 😎😎
thanks buddy! i go back and forth on which version i prefer, but i love how extra the arrangement on this is - so many amazing little details in the orchestration. and, of course, you get to hear Jamerson go nuts there at the end, which is always a treat!
My favorite jamerson bassline is Diana Ross - save the Children. Very unknown cover over Marvin Gaye’s original. Highly recommend checking that one out
Your welcome 🙏🏾 Me and you alike 😅. The arrangement was terrific especially the ending 😬
@@soulwayne2054 nice, i'll have to check it out - the Gaye version already has a beast of a bassline!
Thank God you did the long version! You rarely hear it nowadays.
You know, I've been listening to this song for 53 years now and it wasn't till your video that I understood how absolutely essential the bass part is to the feeling of this song -- and its slowly mountain crescendo. Somehow you've made the song new and fresh again.
Nice bass playing 👍
cheers Andy!
@@justsomebasslines Hi, check out my new bass cover. ua-cam.com/video/DT9QeBuqT0M/v-deo.html Hope you like this one, thanks,Andy👍
If I closed my eyes, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Great job!
That was great fun.
Outstanding!
thanks Michael!
Fantastic playing my friend! I love Motown bass. 🔥
cheers, Paul! nobody did it quite like Jamerson and the Funk Brothers :)
Damned IMPRESSIVE! Great work!
10 !!!
Bad ass!
Monster bassline from the master! Well played.
Outstanding!! Love this song and this baseline!
thank you Tony! i agree, it's one of Jamerson's greatest
great bass line this time Andrew good job as always
thanks Mario!
Absolutely spot on Brother! My compliments!
🙏
awesome work! I was working on the Marvin & Tammi version earlier, maybe I'll be brave enough to tackle this one eventually
i hope this helps when you get around to learning it!
🙌🏽👍🏽💯
i loved your video on these, Paul! when i saw it, i already had this queued up, you beat me to the punch! 🤣
wow
Well man! What strings are that? And what gear? Love this bassline!
the strings are La Bella 760FL Deep Talking Bass - the bass is a Harley Benton PB-20 SBK.
I joined your Patreon cannot find this tab?
hey Russ, make sure you're on the Jamerson tier, it's in the Jamerson Tuesdays PDF archive. if you still can't find it, shoot me a message on Patreon and i'll point you in the right direction! :)
Jamerson did not play this version
tell me more about who did then and where you got your info :)
This has Jamerson’s signature all over it. Chromatic runs, leaving lots of space, jumping lines…
