I just picked up my 2022 NX450h+ a few days ago. This car is truly amazing! Build quality is next level. Infotainment is the best Lexus has ever put out. The EV range is great and fits my daily commute mileage. I have yet to use hybrid motor. Given gas prices in the US, this car is paying itself off nicely!
Used to own a brand new Lexus IS200 back in the early 2000s, it was a superb car with excellent build quality. Real shame they are not selling the current IS300 here in the UK anymore. Given the stellar success of the Tesla Model 3, an electrified or plug in hybrid version of the new IS saloon would sell really well.

I like the Car it's beautiful, good quality - reliable, good interior, very comfortable, and with new tech for infotainment. But, it could be better if it had 'Smart Fast Charging Technology with Curves' for example at least 50kw to 100 kw, which are very common everywhere. Also, the smaller battery in plugin hybrid could potentially charge much faster than the fully electric with bigger battery.

It’s mainly cos it’s a hybrid vehicle, the CVT is a lot more efficient than a regular auto transmission. The MX350 turbo has a regular auto transmission
I used to trust whatcar but there marking system for reviews are terrible. Tesla's score really high even though there reliability is questionable. Lexus traditional score low with what car for whatever reason despite being the most reliable in the class year on year. When I say score low I mean low like 2/5. What car takes subjectivity to another level they are similar to fox news. Beware of their reviews
Not really in the same class though. Lexus is designed to compete with the likes of Mercedes, BMW and Audi. Comparing the Toyota RAV4 with the equivalent Kia or Hyundai would be a more appropriate comparison.
KIA/ Hyundai are good cars but Lexus is a Luxury brand and you will get superior fit and finish and customer service. Genesis (Hyundai's luxury brand) compete with Lexus. They seem good but at present don't have the service backup of Lexus.

I have a bmw x3 and I think it’s terrible for the money, cheap materials and constant recalls. After test driving a handful of premium suvs, I’ve just ordered one of these. Much better quality and drives way nicer.
The CVT gearbox is excellent. A little vocal when you floor it but it’s silky smooth and very reliable. Unlike the jerky, unreliable DSG in the German brands.

We had an is200 & bought brand new is250, I really miss it too. I say if model 3 sells then Lexus should give us the is back.

45 miles on electric? In Canada Lexus is only claiming 36 miles on electric. Does the UK version have a larger battery?

Think it's to do with reliability and fuel efficiency.
The answer is that simple. It's built for live! It doesn't break down and it fits with the Atkinson engine.

Although missing the official figures by a wide margin, for a car of that size, it's quite good.
It is a glorified RAV4, an overpriced RAV4... and it drives like RAV4...

@@vladepast4936 I literally went from an X3 to this. Your argument is like saying a BMW is the same as a Rolls Royce or VW and Audi are the same because they share parts. It’s not as simple as that.
@@joey-pn3xe All cars a different but some are the same because there is no difference between them. RAV4=LexuxNX350 because it is the same car. you can pretend it is different because of different badges but under the hood, they are exactly the same, period. And that is a fact. RAV4=Lexsus NX350.
I have a bmw x3 and I think it’s terrible for the money, cheap materials and constant recalls. After test driving a handful of premium suvs, I’ve just ordered one of these. Much better quality and drives way nicer.
I’d rather have the new Tucson or sportage over this. Interior of this car doesn’t match the price at all
Cvt gearbox is a big NO
The CVT gearbox is excellent. A little vocal when you floor it but it’s silky smooth and very reliable. Unlike the jerky, unreliable DSG in the German brands.
@@TheLittleRedCali a little vocal ha ha it screams to full revs and stays there until you get to the desired speed, dual clutches are much more reliable nowadays unlike the old Powershift / DSG
@@petewatson9866 Pete you’re talking about a old style CVT. These transmissions are eCVTs and are totally different.
