Still the best looking track, 1st ran around my Christmas tree in 1957. Still set it up every Christmas. About time I build a layout on a piece of plywood ? lol
Love to see the Canadian Pacific livery repainted. Awesome stuff. I got an Alco for my son at the train swap In Edmonton that had been repainted just like the ones in your video. Did you ever sell any? Maybe we have one of yours! I’ve subscribed to your channel. Thanks , G
Great layout. I love layouts that feature super O. You do not see them too much. But super O switches...ugh! I did not see any from the video views, do you have any on your layout?
Lionel’s “Super O” was introduced in 1957 and was available for sale through 1966. It was Lionel’s attempt to heighten interest in their “O scale”, as HO interest increased. It had flat rails (and not tubular like O and O-27). The third middle rail was smaller, less obvious (to look more prototype). www.toytrainrevue.com/sup-o.htm I remember the period, since I was in elementary school. Super O abruptly disappeared (1966) as HO became predominant scale, for next 10 years.
I really like the realistic speed at which you run your trains.
Very nice. I like this old Lionel stuff. I have quite a few pieces myself.

I love how you are not afraid to repaint those old Lionel trains!!!! It inspires me to do the same.
I noticed that they are hard to find.

EXCELLENT quality video - just esthetically alone it's a pleasure to watch!

4 pairs electric and at least that many manual. Not bat running forward but darn near impossible when backing :)
excuse me, I have a question. Did lionel ever make a caboose to match that 2-4-2 247? I know that they had pass. cars for it.
There was never a post war caboose, but Lionel made 6918 in '86 and 9072 in '72/73. MTH also makes a caboose that would go with it.
Nice video by the way, inspiring me to give my #2018 steamer a permanent layout!
Acquired any passenger stock since shooting this?
ZeldaTheSwordsman All my passenger stuff is modern era Lionel and others
I have O-27 and I know what O gauge but what is Super O?

Very cool. Thanks for the great info. I always wondered what that thin center rail was.
