I remember when Geotracker came out for Nuke back in, I think, 2018. I wanted a version so badly for AE. As soon as they announced the beta last year for AE, I have used every release until they made it pay only. It saved my bacon on several shots that I could have done in other software with a lot more time and tweaking. It solved a tracking phone comp on a TV series that we tried every other method and tracker for in a few clicks. It tracked a person's head (We actually used a pretty high poly 3d scan of the actor for amazing results) to open up the actors head as if they were a robot. It was 100% perfect in no time at all. Geotracker makes the technical part a simple, fast process so that the creative part can take precedence!
The best use case to that is to work on projects we could put smiles & inspiration for the hearts as we also show the beauty of our amazing motion/vfx world we love. 💜🤗🤗🤗
The video I worked on using Geo Tracker was truly fascinating. The software's ability to track and integrate 3D objects into real-world footage was seamless and provided an incredibly realistic and immersive experience. It allowed me to push the boundaries of my creativity and achieve effects that I had previously only dreamed of. As a VFX enthusiast, I find joy in exploring new tools and technologies that enhance my skills and bring my visions to life. Geo Tracker has certainly become one of my favorite tools, and I am eager to fully unlock its potential in the full version.
This is a great tutorial! I recently made a superhero film with my youngest students (7 - 9 year olds) and geotracker would have saved me so much time adding realistic lighting and reflections on some of the characters costumes and props! One hero had a crystal that shoots hot beams of blue energy and I had to basically hand draw/track the reflections onto faces, eyes, clothes and walls...
Awesome video, your video helps me alot!! Geo tracker makes After effects beast tool. Geo tracker can really help me in my coming project where I am going to add face makeup like anime style to face. and also thanks for your valuable content.

Terrific job covering this. I did the VFX on an indie film where they wanted to replace a bad bald cap with one that looked more like a closely shaved scalp. Incredibly difficult without object tracking. Lots of cheating. Now I have a similar project coming up and would love to use Geo Tracker.

You guys just gained a new fan! The geotracker tool is amazing and that free lisence could be really helpful for our school project. Every year, my class competes with other classes on who makes the best short film (max 3 min), but 2 years in a row now we have lost because the other school cheated by paying someone to do most of the editing for them. But i believe that with this tool and our great horror concept, we could win the whole thing. I just don't got the money for it so that's the problem.
@@flo.motion This is essentially how they do de-aging at ILM nowadays. Create a 3D model of the younger version of the actor and comp it with the real footage (they usually keep things like the eyes and the mouth from the real footage).

Great video! I noticed you might be using Adobe Voice Enhancer or DaVinci AI Voice Enhancer to enhance your audio. A tip I find helpful when using these tools is to create two audio tracks: one for the enhanced voice and the other for the original voice. While auto-sync tools can be useful, manual adjustment might be needed for perfect synchronization. Then, balance the volume of both tracks for optimal audio quality. This approach could enhance your videos even more. Keep up the good work!

Please create a new camera in the composition (without changing any parameters), and select it in GeoTracker. This should resolve the issue.
Hello Flomotion and thank you for the great tutorial! as usual, great tips and great techniques that can help us visual fx artists go far. I could really use the free license for Geo Tracker as I am planning to do a sci fi movie in which I need to replace the mirror- like helmet reflections of my main character, in order not to see the camera being reflected in it, and to make my own reflections and using geo tracker , I can track the helmet and replace the reflections in the footage. and I'm sure this will be a great way to save me a lot of time of manual tracking and I hope you consider my efforts valuable for me to get the license, thank you.
Oh indeed that's a perfect workflow. Ideally suited for the geo tracker!! And super fast to do!!
