@@EmrahUncu Low to high: Illud Divinum Insanus (horrible!) , Domination, Blessed are the Sick, Kingdoms Distained, Heretic, Covenant, Alters of Madness, Gateways to Annihilations, Formulas Fatal to the Flesh.
Altars is their best, Blessed is a close second. Abominations of Desolation was their 1986 unreleased album, was finally released by Earache in 1991. That is right up there with Altars and Blessed. There's also the Thy Kingdom Come demo from 1987 which is also supreme. Covenant is an ok album, Angel of Disease being easily the best track on the album. Domination had some decent songs on the album, but was a weak record overall. Didn't care for the Steve Tucker era. A couple of songs I like off Formulas, but still an album I can do without. Morbid Angel were top notch death metal in their early days, but quickly declined by the mid 90's.
Thanks for the input. If you had looked at my description section, I did explain why I had not ranked Abominations... Also I don't do demos or EPs only main studio albums. I don't have a problem with Tucker era. Also to Tucker's defence, Vincent had the advantage of being a part of the band at a time where the genre was burgeoning and the bands that were in their prime were releasing their best efforts ( or their best known albums). But also who sounds better depends on the listener. For example, Corpsegrinder replaced Barnes in the same year Vincent left the band and my favorite era of CC is Corpsegrinder era.
Is this from worst to best? I'm not sure if I agree with everything. Number 5 should've been before 4 for sure and the best one you have isn't even David Vincent on vocals
This is my take on their discography and I would really like to see your and other commenter's ranking on this section. I don't get your comment about Vincent not being on my number one album pick, he is there. he left the band after that album.
Interesting ranking , Alters of Madness always been #1 for me , they have some legendary albums but also some duds 🤘🏻
I'm not going to throw stones, but this is very different than mine.
How would you rank them?
