Matt, I made these tonight. My wife told me I’ve made many good wings in the past but these are the best. I made plain, bbq sauce and hot sauce. Did not try a white sauce. Thank you very much.
For my home experience and entertaining crowds od family and friends, everyone loves best wings done on a weber kettle with a vortex. Had 2 kettles fully loaded, with a bit of wood smoke and well seasoned dry brined wings. Perfection, and crispy. Enjoy with sauce of choice.
Great vid I like searing steaks on a charcoal grill then low temp on the traeger with super smoke on till medium could make it a vid if you guys want I would love your input and any spins. Thanks for making content helps a lot a people out.
I made the “party ribs” on Sunday…2 1/2 hrs.!! Used Gospel & garlic n herb rub.. I made my own sauce.. Honey, brown sugar, butter and a splash of vinegar!! I nailed it!!! Absolutely perfect!!! Thanks Matt!💪🏻👍🏻 (I work at ACE in Ojai,Ca) We just got the new Hickory AP rub in on Tuesday. Picked up the hickory rub today… I’m planning on doing both ribs (so easy and fast) and chicken wings this coming weekend!! “Go Redskins”!!😜
I made the party ribs on my smoker yesterday and they turned out awesome, the ACE Hardware was out of that rub so I bought the Holly Gospel and loved it.
Have not been following for very long but bought some products and really like them and ordered the fab 5, honestly really enjoying your products and channel. My go to rubs for everything now, keep it up
For the buffalo sauce i do the same sauce wise, franks red hot, butter and ACV and its freaking delicious! I do the 0-400 degree method and pull them around 190 and on a pellet smoker they actually get nice and crispy, I use Holy Cow as my seasoning its a awesome pairing, I would like to try that white sauce for sure looks great, yum!
Wings are so versatile, because they can take all kinds of flavors. Good food definitely brings people together, because it's all about sharing, and there is something for everyone. Those wings look great. Cheers, Matt! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Matt, tried all of your seasoning this weekend and they are delicious. I’m been using them for years. Only problem is when we smoke your Cowboy’s this past Sunday, I think we over cooked them. But that’s on us. ⚜️🏈⚜️
I like the dry rub holy voodoo and extra wet . I’ll coat them with sauce twice before taking them off the grill and then a third time while they are still fresh and hot . I do multiple sauces for more choices .
Another great video! Thank you for all you do to make us all weekend BBQ warriors! Question: how much cornstarch would you include with your rub to help crisp up the skin?
I grilled up some wings the other day and used some olive oil, Holy Cow, and some red chili powder for a rub. Then I just grilled them until rendered and browned up. Then I tossed them with a little Bachans jap bbq sauce, honey, and some crushed chipotle red pepper blend. Came out phenomenal! Holy cow is my new favorite rub!
I was born in Texas, but I can't claim to be from there. I was less than 6 months old when my dad was sent to Germany for the first time. I've spent most of my life, 20 years, in Alabama. At 46 years old, I've never had Alabama white sauce. I'm gonna have to make some and try it. Roll Tide!, by the way! And Fly Eagles!
Matt thanks for the video. I'm making wings for a tailgate on Saturday, I was planning to pre smoke the wings on Friday then reheat on a grill at the tailgate Saturday. Would you suggest waiting to sauce until Saturday or am I good with saucing Friday and refrigerating?
Great video! Were you watching my house last weekend? I literally made 60+ wings, all seasoned with Holy Voodoo and then had served naked, bbq, and buffalo. (Along with some poppers). I guess great minds think alike! 😂
Matt, you should reach out to Matt Carriker and help him smoke a brisket. Also ask him about Meat Fest because you should definitely be at the next event. Keep it smoked!
Wait, what was the trick on loosening up the flats so you can take the whole thing off the bone? That should be highlighted every time! Go Bearkats! #SHSU
Where do you get the wings? The ones at the store are not the same as the ones in the restaurants. The ones in the stores are the wing and drumsick together and are way to big.
Can you get away with throwing them on the smoker turned off, with a smoke tube in it for an hour. Then turn the smoker on and cook them? Or will that run the risk of making the meat unsafe?
Just received my five bottles of MC spices today. They weren’t due until the 17th. But with any luck. Some of what I’ve seen on your videos has stuck with me. And I’ll be able to do a good BBQ this weekend. I wasn’t expecting them to be here in time for this BBQ. So I’m a little unprepared. But I think it will work out just fine. Hot wings. And there are those who just enjoy hot/spicy foods. There are very few foods that I like temp hot. But there are more than a few that I enjoy spicy hot. So it’s not a bragging thing. I think. I can eat hotter than most. But I know for sure. There are people who can eat far FAR hotter than I can. I knew a girl, probably not more than 11. Her mom said she could eat hot food. This young lady ate some of the hottest stuff I’d seen at the time and didn’t blink. Just depends on how our mouths are set up.
LOL, I love the Philly fan base (for real). The only fan base that comments on every post (Go Birds) no matter the topic. I do love a lot of your players. You should have a great season! Roll Tide BTW, so now you know who I like. Cheers!
I’m just not a fan of wings straight off a smoker. I like crispy wings. I smoke until 165 internal and then flash fry. It’s a game changer as you get the best of both worlds.
Matt, I made these tonight. My wife told me I’ve made many good wings in the past but these are the best. I made plain, bbq sauce and hot sauce. Did not try a white sauce. Thank you very much.
Yes sir!! We did 3 flats of wings this past Sat. Holy voodoo is best color on wings. Wife likes Texas sugar on hers. All smoked on Weber kettles!!
Kettle and a vortex will get ya crispy wings fo'sho!
I love that method.
Love that feedback. Thanks for the info Jayson!
Being the official pitmaster for the Cowboys is nice because you get the playoffs off.
I agree on not liking dripping wet anything. great choices on the sauces and just letting everyone do there own thing. Hats off again.
Thanks Brett!
Made these last night using the new Hickory. The Hickory is awesome! Wings were awesome!

great options!! I'll have to try that last step of smoking the wetness off the wings.

I notice that those are the only rubs that have MSG in them….🤔
And I agree. Those are the 2 best! Gospel a close third.
Thanks!
I am so happy for you regarding the Cowboys!! You so deserve this
Thank you so much!!

Beautiful wings. Your videos have taught me a lot. Thanks!
AWESOME. Thanks for being here!
That Alabama sauce is great! Love those wings. I like them every way.

So good!
Man! Those are 🔥🔥 Had the Bob Gibson sauce on the wings too 🙌
YESSIR!
I make Holy Voodoo dry wings and they’re delicious. Don’t need sauce, less mess to clean up.
As always… another great video. I’d love a line up of all spicy wings 3 ways or sweet & spicy wings 3 ways.
Thanks!!
Great Video! Got to tour the store today all the way from NW Indiana! And picked up a T-shirt!
Thank you so much!!
Even though your cowboys killed my browns I still appreciate ya and love the videos. Good job on this one Pittman.

@@MeatChurchBBQon a different note, where did you get your sprayer to spritz that I’ve seen in other videos? I really like it.
Flats are indeed the best. And I applaud your wing eating technique. You should go on Hot Ones 🤘
Maybe one day!
My favorite way to cook wings is to smoke them for about an hour at around 275, then fry to finish them. Best of both worlds IMO.

Just curious Matt, why don’t you ever do full wing? Just wandered, thanks
Any ideas what the metal bowls are? I really need to get some for salsa, wings, everything really.
Going to try this soon keep up the great work and go 49ers!!!
Have fun!
Whew, that looks delicious. I’ve already told my crowd to expect Meat Church seasoning and merch for Christmas. 🙌 🔥

Too funny - I cook my wings at 400 - and put back on the pit after saucing. Now I wanna do last weeks party ribs mixed with a wing sauce!
Sounds great!
This has to be the next recipe I try out on the smoker
Great video as always! Roll Tide!!!

Love some of the rubs, but absolutely HATE the Arlington Crygirls! I thought you were a smart fella, too. Bless your little heart! 😂

Since you’re a Crygirls fan, I’m sure it’s a dream come true. I sure hope JJ is paying you, though!
cant wait to try the new hickory seasoning!
it is really good.
Ghost pepper blueberry wings for those that like hot and sweet. Or...just go for the hot honey wings with some homemade habanero honey.
Sounds tasty!!!
I like to smoke or grill mine a little under temp and throw them in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp them up. You can call me lazy lol.
Same here and everyone always loves them 👍

Love your videos Matt ❤..but one thing ....GO VOLS😅
I worked at Neyland in the 8th grade!
Matt where did you get your insulated gloves. Are the cotton gloves with latex gloves over the top?
Cotton string gloves with nitrile gloves pulled over the top.
Thanks to you and your videos I have all of my friends asking me to smoke meat for them. Thank you Matt.
I made wings with Blanco voodoo they were great

My favorite team and favorite pitmaster. Go Cowboys!
Do you let your wings cool before saucing them I have problems with the wing sauce sticking when they are fresh off grill.
I do not but I don't see why that wouldn't work.
Excellent, Matt!! And, people, stop upvoting the assbots.
haha
400 degs, corn flour mixed into the rub and a spray of oil during the cook....they be some crispy wings then.
Corn starch and seasoning is the best for grilled wings! Love that tip. gonna have to get that Ace exclusive seasoning this weekend!
Hope you enjoy!

My local grocer - HEB. Walmart usually has them.

I'd rather my man Stidham go back in.
Why take them past 165 internal? Or even 148ish for 8 minutes? Crispy skin?
Yes. Won't hurt them. I only take chicken breast to that low of a temp.
