This show and the soulless expression of the tank engines will never cease to terrify me. Even now, 14 years later they still send chills down my spine. I still loved it tho.
I felt an odd fascination for them, but their lifeless looks always prevented me from watching it. I might just have to give it a watch now, at 21 years of age 😂

This show and the soulless expression of the tank engines will never cease to terrify me.
Even now, 14 years later they still send chills down my spine.
I still loved it tho.
Well the models are still better than that stupid reboot. LOL it's even terrifying than Timothy
I had the exact same problem 😂😂😂 loved the show but the emotionless parts sometime would scare me a bit
Bro you know what’s scarier than the cgi one the disgusting Animated one on netflix 🤮
@@Antirachitrue
I felt an odd fascination for them, but their lifeless looks always prevented me from watching it. I might just have to give it a watch now, at 21 years of age 😂
Thomas and Friends was one of my childhood shows, I use to watch it when I was younger and it always brings me back the memories.
I grew up with old Thomas and Friends to 2014 Thomas and Friends on the dvds (yes I don't have a cable for Thomas and friends plus I'm a 2010 kid at least I experienced the good times) when I was a kid. Thomas from 2015-present doesn't feel the same Thomas and Friends for me. The old Thomas and Friends theme song from 1984-2003 still a banger 🔥🔥.

I am appalled that the intro regressed so much after intro 3 or 4. It seems like those 2 intros were the peaks of the intro. After that it would keep devolving and it's just horrible now.
The Brenner era be like: am I a joke to you?!
Im 14 now, and I remember listening to this when I was 5. It brings back so much memories, just proves how time goes by so fast
Same, intro 4 is my favorite
Ikr
Intros 4-7 is nostalgic to me 🥹
22 here
I’m 21 and I’m close to starting a career with the Metro North Railroad. And yes I watched Thomas the Tank Engine when I was very young. I’ve always been a train enthusiast and now I’m about to land my dream job.
It’s just so amazing to see how my VERY FIRST favorite show ended up!!!!
Dude, I miss this series. When I was 5 I used to buy tons of CD's of Thomas, and I grew up with intro 1-7
Intro favorite stereotypes
Intro 1 : you are one of the TTTE legends
Intro 2 : you are a clone of me ( kinda because I was born during intro 7 )
Intro 3 : same as intro 1 , a TTTE memester
Intro 4 : were born that year
Intro 5 : same as intro 5
Intro 6 : for its slice of CGI
Intro 7 : you are 8 years old
Intro 8 : you are younger than me apparently
Intro 9 : you came from hell
I did intro 7 im 8 yrs old
I grew with the 5, 6, and 7, but i appreciate the older ones
I watched all of them and accept for 2018 reboot
I kinda watched the intro 4 one
I’ve watched since intro 3
For me the Intro 4 and Intro 5 were so memorable!!!!

Intro 6 is such a nostalgic one
this is my one and will be the most favorite childhood cartoon of all time. no one can ever replace this cartoon!❤ miss my childhood days.
I really like the first 3 or 4 intros because it kind of makes it feel immersive and somewhat realistic, as well as the iconic music that is so well know anyone that has ever lives through the 80s to the early 2000s knows the song, and this new intro they were maybe just "you know, this intro has been around for 35 years, screw it let's make a new one for the show" and really shows that they no longer cared or honored the past and tried to make the show more popular by completely abandoning the past.
The new intro wasn’t all bad. It was pretty fine actually. It’s the BWBA intro that actually sucks
Did you know that they used real models on a track until 2009 when they switched to full cgi
The newest ones suck 🤣 I mean, yes they are catchy, but completely different from the original, that tune was ICONIC, this sing-a-long crap just isn't it
@@missviolet3079 Engine roll call good BWBA bad
@@DaviOliveiraMaia968 which one is the bwba? I love the older ones, I think they were the best, the newest one is awful, it's not even the same tune really
84-03 intros are best in my opinion. I liked that they used models for all the set and characters, it felt real to me and required use of one’s imagination. Even watching back now after all these years, I still prefer it; feels more authentic.
and they had to dub over them

Although the expressions are somewhat creepy, the model trains and setting look better than the flat cgi of later seasons
this hits home back when I stayed up at night watching this.
Nothing beats going to my grandparents house back when I was young in the morning. Turning on the tv only for PBS kids to be on. Followed by the shot of the windmill and the day was already going to be a good one. 84-04 intros will always stay with me.
Audry would probably be furious if he saw what his beloved series turned into.
If he were still alive, the moment Andrew Brenner jumped ship, I believe he would’ve stopped production and found another company.
@@legendarygodzilla14 He would probably sue Mattel and demand the rights to his series be given back.
@@The8BitNerd
Essentially what I said, just more extreme.
@@legendarygodzilla14 If only that would've happened
We would've had the model sets
Or new models that resemble the old ones
I wonder what Christopher Awdry thinks of the Thomas and Friends series today
Probably furious and wanting to get the rights to it to bring it back to his dad's series but adapt his own railway series instead of CGI or the stupid AEG (All Engines Go) series..
Reverend Audrey: Look at this good book series I made for children. I heard they are making a show about i-
2018: Hahahahaha replacing characters
Ahh. Classic memories. Well, before I got replaced.
Yeah, I feel you, Edward. If anything, the Steam Team should probably include the original eight I grew up with (Including you) as well as Nia and Rebecca. That is, if you and Henry don't have any beef on those two.
Find every freight car and using a snowplow knock it or the rails or destroy it
You were my favorite engine ever since you left I started to not watch it and I was glad I did
Those Thomas and Friends Intros just takes me back!!!
I hadn't even thought about this show until recently when I heard the intro. I am familiar with the third one it is so nostalgic. I used to have so many train toys. I miss being kid.
1: A classic.
2: Pretty good.
3: Its the same as SE1.
4: It's good, not as good as the OG 3 though.
5: Its a meh.
6: /\
7: Its... not really better... but its still the same either way.
8: Andrew really was creative. 7/10.
9: I'm not even gonna...

Brenner really saved the Thomas and Friends franchise for a few extra years. Now all the work he put in is for naught.
Wdym by 4. Its ok. Its like the best
I mean, the 4th intro is good, just not as good as the original.
Me in intro 9: *MY EYES!!!!!!!!!!*
Edit: Bruh intro 4 and 5 (especially 5) is my childhood
XD. Yeah. A lot of people like you really don't like the intro for Series 22 to Series 24. Me, I do like the intro, although, it's not as good as the first CGI intro.
