Webb Pierce - I Ain´t Never 1965 on Second Fiddle To A Steel Guitar movie When The Cowboy Sings website whenthecowboysi... KWC Americana Radio Station kwcamericanars....
One cool Cat. When I lived in Monroe, La., I bought this song on one of my first 45 rpm records. Webb was living in West Monroe at that time. Years later I moved to Nashville and Webb became a patient of mine. Quite a guy. He was never that impressed with me. I never got to swim in his guitar shaped swimming pool, but a friend of mine bought his house and pool after he passed away. RIP.
I love this. Notice how everybody plays their part exactly including the token country fella that can't help himself. Notice webb shaking his tail? As I have read that production was high class 35mm film and run and monitored by powerful rich elders who owned the old radio shows too and nobody disobeyed them, ever! There was an issue between them and master webb. I imagine them monitoring webb shake his hipps and them turning red with anger only to have him tell everybody: "elvis does it, why can't I?". Great song

THANKS ,,
Webb had some great tunes circa 50s-early 60s. Great fancy suits as well.
Didn't he have a guitar-shaped swimming pool?
@@TheBrooklynbodine Apparently yes. Many stories about that pool. Webb was okay, different high pitched voice.
@@mosrite60 OK, thanks.
John Fogerty did a pretty slick cover of this in 1973.
Loved the Nudie Suits!
Canned music not live but still high quality!!
Jordanaires singing along, is that Jimmy Day on steel? He played on a lotta Starday stuff around then.
Not Jordanairs... May be Anita Kerr singers but not sure.
