@@kayajoelle6674 She was so helpful and kind! The dance teachers I've had would tell at you if you ever stopped a combo just because you were cramping. They'd also yell at you for a good five minutes if you ever sat down on the floor when it was not break.

Well that has to do with your training and how many classes you take a week overall. So if you’re not a studio or company with rigorous and challenging classes with really great teachers and take a lot of classes every week consistently you’ll be better trained than someone who does not

My calves cramped just watching it
For anyone struggling with double pirroutes: doubles are so easy once you actually get it! It’s ok if it takes long just do these they are my favourite tips:
1. spot something and keep your eyes on it the entire time
2. Count DOWN from how many you want to do, if you want to do two you count in your head 2,1 (still spotting your spot.
3. Land into fourth position ALWAYS to get used to it.
Hope you get your pirouette!
well in performances you will often land in fifth and keep dancing so if you get used to ending in fourth position you will have trouble when you will have to close in fifth or any other position because fourth is more stable
Violet Williams yes but that’s not what your actually meant to do
Violet Williams yeah it’s better to practise in landing in a harder position because then landing in fourth should be hypothetically ten times easier
2 more tips from me!
1: If you're doing a pirouette en dedans, try to use the fouette motion if you can. It will help propel you.
2: KEEP YOUR ARMS IN FIRST WHEN PRACTICING! If you have to do a pirouette with your arms in a different position, that's fine, but mostly practice in first. Lots of dancers fall when they either don't use their arms or throw their arms too hard.
I used to be horrible at turning, but with these tips, I got a clean triple, so I hope that you can too.
I struggle with Ballet pirouettes but can easily do doubles and sometimes triples in jazz. What should I do to improve my ballet pirouettes?

mira becker Ballet and tap really helped me with Irish because of the technique and discipline. I did ballet, tap and musical theatre for 5 years before starting Irish and then did both for another 4 years before I had to choose one and chose Irish. I bet she would do really well although the turn out is a bit different which might be a bit confusing.

Leah Valentini wow my story is so similar. I did all different types of dance and then started Irish and then stopped doing everything else besides ballet and Irish. I danced Irish competitively for 7 years. Several moves are the same for ballet and irish like the ensheshecaht (I cant spell sue me). But in ballet you use your plie entirely whereas in Irish you never drop your heels.

Just got back after my year break 😓
I was 5 years off ut it comes back very easily. The fist time is torture but then your body just remembers. Except for the streching- you have to do that all over again. But being flexible is just the icing on the cake if you got your technique

I grew up doing ballet. I am so glad she actually would get in and fix your form. Glad you had her teach it. Good job girl. It is so hard to go back. :)
Once a dancer, always a dancer. Girl you still got it!!! In 2018, I took a break from dancing, due to personal reasons. A few months during my break, I watched some UA-cam videos and read some articles about people starting or getting back into dancing or the dance industry. Those really inspired me to get back into class and pursuing my career/passion again. I just moved back to LA and taking classes again. Also I got a few teaching/choreography jobs.
It is never too late to start over or return to something that you are passionate about. I am so glad I have watched this! You are awesome! Keep on dancing Haley 💙

I just came back to figure skating after a 15 year break. The sport has changed a LOT and it's much harder in your 30s to put your foot over your head or land triple jumps than it was when I was teenager!
Same break here. Got back just this october and I obviously still suck but it's slowly getting better. I still haven't made it to where I was I think but we're gonna get there, I'm determined 💪💪
