I do agree with u 100 bout ratings and the people using the characters! And u r right about mashers, however, it’s in the game and we have the tools to deal with them! I just have to lab those tools for said mashers! Again, good video and I did c your name on one of the Leo videos and I will check it out!
I never thought of actually going through the replays and look at the stats, but this is exactly what i expected to find. People are just SO aggressive, don't respect + frames, high crush, low crush, power crush, heat burst, constantly going. It feels like there are NO mind games going on, at least it's very rare. It's just mashing buttons and hoping the character does the rest for you. Like you, i'm tired of this stuff already, man :D The ironic part is that when i myself dumbed down my playstyle to basically doing strings, spamming the "OP" moves and pressing power crush at -9 i shot up the ranks - but to me it's not fun to play like that and it's a shame that Tekken is the way it is atm.
The problem is you're gonna see. People in higher ranks that doesn't deserve that rank because they're probably plugging. But if you're actually playing the game properly and rematch in everybody and not cheating not easy to get into the blue ranks

Completely agree. When I took fujin at tekken 7 I was so proud of myself, but now all those red and violet rank at fujin. 70% of fujin player you can just df1 to the death
Depends on the Character you are playing. Drago, Feng, King, Alisa or Lin are characters that are broken and they carry a lot. On the other hands Bryan, Kazuya or Paul are basically T7 characters but nerfed in T8. Bryan players have in genetal better defence stats because they wait for openenings. You can't play hyper agressive with him. He is not the first pick for newcomers.
You can be on the attack side more than defense fighting Bryan and some of these characters but it's all up to playing it safe and mix ups and your defense better be impeccable
I get where you're coming from, but I don't think the performance stats are hard proof of anything. Without defining exactly how each category is gained/lost makes it somewhat unreliable. Other than that, I pretty much agree with you. I play Leo, Shaheen, Kazuya, Reina, Xiaoyu, Asuka, Lili, Raven, and Jin. They all play a bit differently and it can effect your performance stats if you spread yourself too thin. I honestly believe once the 'beta' version of this game is over and people have had time to feel more confident with their punishment, the aggression is going to tone down a bit more.

Plus the first year of this game is gonna bebro this is the first time we have not had a arcade release. So everybody is gonna be strong for a minute until they get enough data to start balancing, thanks usually. Usually we don't get the game until another 2 years after a arcade.release which gives them the time to balance the game more properly.
I wish there was a stat for Parrying, my defense on the right is alright, even do side stepping is a bit broken with some characters but my parrying is pretty good, I contantly parry 2 or 3 times per game. Also I feel like a lot of Alissa players dont defend at all they just love to press buttons from far away lol
This game heavily punishes defensive play. Its all about pressing forward and pressing buttons. Heat,Rage,power crush are all offensive moves. You will take MASSIVE chip if you block and you are also in MASSIVE danger if you guess wrong under pressure. There's just more incentive to attack. Its the game itself forcing this type of gameplay.
Usually the players with really low defence stat are the players that will run a cheesy AF string on you, spam some gimmicky move and then not rematch because they've already shown their entire hand. So annoying. When this happens I always go check the stats and their defence is always at like 40. Like get out of here man, what are you doing in my game.

Bamco literally designed the game to promote agression and active button press over defense every single time. It is no wonder defense is super hard and not rewarding at all. Also the tools to keep the attack going are so easy and strong it becomes a vortex situation almost instantly. The first one to initiate the pressure is usually the one who wins. IMO they should half the active armor frames in all power crush moves, and make them truly punishable, so they are actually used for defense and not for keeping pressure safe. With only that change the game will improve a lot.

Plus you can't look at that stat. Overall, because it's all of your defense stats, you can have a defense around 60 to 70 they can have really good blocking. The defense category consists with blocking dodging, highs and lows and escaping grabs. And composed So for incidents, they can have AS plus block. But every other stat in their defense could not be that good like they might suck at escaping throws. Or not be good at ducking moves to punish. Which will affect the stats of your defense?So I wouldn't go completely by those stats unless you're actually looking at every category

I will say reina who I main is meant to be aggressive. yea defense matters but some characters best thing is to be aggressive because they're made that way calling someone bad because there defense is under 80 is ridiculous everyone plays different to have fun and win. I agree your defense should be decent but just because there defense isn't 80 or higher doesn't mean they are bad players stopped watching the video after you said that. My defense is 77 and im flame ruler I'm doing just fine not even worried about defense because it's already decent and it's not preventing me from climbing up the ranks

-9 frames is exactly when you're supposed to be using power crush moves. They're usually unsafe moves, so you want them to push a button.

Defence stat depends mostly on brake throws, i playing very defensive, but i cant brake throw and my defence only 49

Depends. I have gotten decent results with a punishing Kazuya. Some people have zero defensive skills and are really easy to punish.
