I almost bought a ranger tremor pkg truck but they were hard to find and I needed to buy a new truck this past month. Got to break in thw engine hood before driving to Richmond va next mo th for my grandsons birth. Was checking wirh Ford dealership in the tru cities and they only had a few base xl model rangers in their inventory. Did not want to buy my 3 rd straight f150 truck since 2004. Who knows I might trade in my Tacoma trs off road truck on a new 2024 Ford ranger lariat tremor model or the new ranger raptor model if I could get it for around 55 to 57 grand. That thing is a beast coming fully loaded from the assembly plant.
I work for eates expresslibes so I can buyany Ford truck for 300.00 over the dealers real invoice price paid for the truck. After seeing the new 2024 ranger raptor I am very much interested in buying one. Would trade my 2023 Tacoma trd off road truck in on one. I will be turning 59 in October so by next spring i can pull money from my 401k abd nolinger have to pay that 10% early federal withdrawal penalty. So I could pull money out to pay off difference i owe on the 2024 ranger raptor if I decide to buy one.
No a 2wd Ranger wouldn't be able to do this trail, the beginning of the trail perhaps, but once you started climbing there are some very big washout areas that you would need 4x4.
Do you think a stock jeep could make this? Just sold my 95 wrangler and upgraded to a stock 2018 wrangler. I think it could but I’d like a second opinion on it
Depends on the condition of the trail and your offroad driving experience. As long as its a dry day and take it nice and slow I would say it could make it up there. I would take a buddy with you as cell service is not good.
@@outlandishoverland in this video you were going up and down a slippery west trail. I understand a locker helps control wheel spin when climbing, but would it keep wheels from locking when going descending?

I am located in Mount carenwl just west of downtown kingsport, TN. I just bought a 23 Tacoma trd off road truck. I am also looking to meet up with other a in the tri cities and surrounding ne tn or western nc areas to ho off roading on our many forestry services trails that we have in sullivan/ washington/carter/cocke/Claiborne/unicoi and greene counties. Also there are many good trails to go ride on down by cosby, tn and heading over towards hot springs, nc. Then there are lots of trails up by marion/ linnville falls and around grandfather mountain areas in western nc.

@@sylvain65 I don't think you understand how a locker works. A locker, "locks" your differential so both wheels spin at the exact same time.
