Player that stuck in my mind is Heinrich Brussow. I remember watching the Lions series in 2009 and against Cheetas they had success, however, the Heinrich did a havoc in the ruck. With his "Small size" he managed to put his hand up for the Springboks. Ultimately, he played a crucial role in that series win. Tremendous player, much better than Neil Back in my opinion. Greetings from Serbia, from a huge Springbok supporter.
Can you just imagine the squad you could put together if the cheetahs were not constantly cannibalized by the bigger unions going back as far back as I can remember? The way they have been treated lately by SA rugby, has been nothing but a shambles to be honest. Still, one hell of a team if there is not even a place for Erasmus, but Id have put Brussow above him as well, even though it would be one hell of a tough call. I know there were some injuries over the years that hurt his career, but can you imagine what a Bok career he would have had if we did not put as much stock in size as we do for the loose trio?
Some legends on this team. Robert Ebersohn was so underated and deserved a Springbok cap, but just played in the wrong time with JDV and J.Fourie. One can also add Hennie Daniller to this list. It's also a pity Phillip Burger didn't play a lot of Super Rugby for the Cheetahs, that guy was a Currie Cup legend!. Great Video!
If you are referring to Frans Steyn, them I'm not missing him. He only played 5 games for the Cheetahs in Super Rugby. He did however make our Greatest Sharks Team of All Time :-)
Willem de waal, Jannie de beer or jacques louis Potgieter at fly half. Fabien juries, Jongi Nokwe or Sergeal petersen at wing. And coaches - Naka Drotski and Russia Erasmus, Maybe Os as forward coach.
There are some amazing players in this vid. But who the fuck are/were the cheetahs. Did they ever get close enough to even smell the middle of the points table? No offense meant. I must just be too young to remember their prime

Greetings hope rugby grows right over the world
Heart breaking as a cheetahs supporter. We had so much talent. Team is slowly fading into nothing.

Brussouw should have played 100 tests for the Boks

Great Video!
Hello tasanalytics
Willie was something else, but always will have a soft spot for Riaan Viljoen with his casual drop goals from halfway
17:00 Juan Smith was hands down top 5 loose forwards that's ever played for SA, also LOL, all you see is players wearing gloves missing tackles. 😂
Hahahaha. Those gloves were a fad in 2002/2003. They didn't last long...
Great video. Any chance you could do one just on the Ebersohns?
Awesome video! Thank you 🙏🏻
OS!!! What a legend. Wish the showed some of his tackles and his scrum work.
Missing Frans somewhere. But won’t want to play this team ever. Just class.

Legend of Cheethas will always be Brussow.
What was the deal with Robert Ebersohn not getting capped for the Boks? I remember his brother playing here for the Force back in the day.
He was extremely talented, but behind the likes of Jaque Fourie and Jean De Villiers
Os was always going to be no 1. Also an honourable mention for Naka Drotske at hooker, but Adriaan Strauss was definitely the correct choice.
Tough to leave Rassie Erasmus out of that side. No doubt on the bench
That Os / Naka try is one of the greatest fat man tries ever.

My man, can you please share a link to the music during the intro? If not mistaken it's from The Game??
Yes, the intro song is from The Game
Please Do The Greatest Southern Kings Super Rugby Team Of All Time
Class!
RobEb was best at 12. He was wasted at 13. No coincidence that they made the play-offs the 1st year he was 12 and saw the ball more.
Fair enough, he could play in both positions. Just liked the idea of him and Venter together
@@RealRugby ja that would've been great. A pitty he left just when Francois came in.
Back when money didn't ruin us
Riaan Viljoen should be in there somewhere
Peterson was a mennace in his prime probably better than hendricks honestly
Yeah, it was a toss up between Sergeal, Cornal and Chris Badenhorst
everyone outside the free state 2nd team
Ruan Pienaar?
What did Pienaar do with the Cheetahs in Super Rugby? He played for the Sharks and we included him in our Sharks team
Never played Super Rugby for the Cheetahs

Then you must be really young, because they made the play-offs in 2013 and produced a bunch of Springboks over the years
Winnie the Pooh can play well on the day
Cheetahs rugby team has downgraded badly in the most recent years
SA rugby is a big reason for that.
@@ryankeller2830 it's funny how people usually just chalk it up to bias when I mention this, and I won't deny that I am. But it's true
Kabamba Floors over Heinrich Brussow for me
Floors was a decent player, but not half the player Brussouw was in my opinion
Brussouw is in another league bro
Brave call @tawandacollen, but I honestly can’t believe Brussow didn’t play more tests. He was awesome!
Love Floors though and I get your point.
