Really enjoyable presentation with a distinct conducting skill to bringing out the higher voices in tune with the boy soloist that eloquently led throughout.
I discovered this performance some weeks ago. I have listened it almost a daily basis so fa. I love the song, the voice of the soloist, the choir and the way it is directed. Bravo to all!
There is so much going on in this boy's performance. If you pay close attention, you'll see it. He starts off quiet and shy, maybe not so sure of himself. And, as the performance goes on, he gets stronger and stronger. You can see his confidence building more and more with every solo part he has. Finally, in that last solo part, he hits his stride and his confidence comes through. It is great to see him finally sing with confidence and joy. It's really wonderful to watch. And, with that smile and ever so small nod to his musical director at the very end, you know he is saying to her and to himself, "Yes, I did it!" PCCB is one of my favorite boy choirs. Their performances are wonderful. Extremely talented boys and dedicated directors. Keep up the great work. I hope I can see you in person in America one day. This craziness will be over one day and, hopefully, you will be able to travel and perform all over the world again.
A very good observation. I thought first there was something wrong with his mic. Since he sang so low in volume. But as you so very good wrote. It is clear that Yrieix become more and more confidence and he had a very nice smile to his musical directory. How did a very good work to boost his confidence.
I think not. This piece is supposed to start quietly and strengthen as it progresses. The main choir does the same as the soloist - start softly/gently and grow in strength.
I found this song about 5 days ago and I have listen to it at least 100 times I love it. I trie to sing along but can’t pronounce the words quite right but it’s the thought that counts right.😁
actually just already accompanied them while singing without understanding the lyrics is not so serious, the pleasure is in sharing the emotion and I'm also an addict to this song because I've already listened to it at least more than 200 times for sure and Yriex the soloist starts almost timidly to finish strong, and the complicit glance between him and the conductor is touching.
Such a wonderful and joyous performance, it is one that has had to played again. Much effort has been achieved in the strength of the conducting, difficult to achieve with changing voices.
