- THIS is why I switched from a planner to a binder! The pre made planners were just not laid out like I need them to be to fit what I needed them to fit... So I came up with my own designs and templates! The binder planner system is much more affordable when you make it on your own because you can insert your own graphics and do not have to buy panner stickers if you do not want to and you can make custom page layouts to fit your lifestyle. Great video! Just a tip: the daily planner binder can easily be adapted to the "half size" binders (such as the ones by Avery), which are very portable, similar to A5 size. It's also the same size as Franklin Covey Classic and Day-Timer Size 4. They fit half-size pages 8.5"x5.5" (e.g. a full letter size page folded in half). It's easy to set up templates for that size in Microsoft Word. For reference binders like the household binder, college papers binder, etc. I agree that full standard size is best.

The thing for me is the ribg bound system is versatile where as the disc bound system isn't unless u go spend money for each happy planner accessory & hole puncher or if your system is simplistic..
I really am liking the Day Designer Planner. I downloaded their inserts and put them in my binder. It's a minimal design which I love!

I used a half letter binder (5.5"x8.5") for years but I'm currently switching to a full size letter binder. I make my own custom pages (I'm old and picky and not ashamed). I think my main difference from your style is that I scan past pages to keep on file but out of the way. I don't like a heavy cluttered planner BUT I like to look back on old pages especially family plans. Anyway, I'm very anxious to see if I like the full size or not.

I've been using the Happy Planner's for about 5 years now & there's some things I like & some things that I don't like about them. I did a search on binder planning to see how many people did it bc I'm wanting to do it. I'm a crafter so I do want to try to make my own. I'm glad I clicked on your video. Tfs!

If you have a Staples Arc hole punch you can customize your Arc or Happy Planner disc planner to suit your personal needs by adding your own pages.

My problem with disc systems is that the page edges inevitably fray and sometimes the pages fall out. That’s why I went back to binders.

I love a custom large binder planner !! Carry It in my tote everyday because it keeps me focused on my goals.

The wellness/fitness layout is the worst! I'm also not a fan of the dashboard layout. My favorites are vertical and the teacher/subject layouts.

Hobby Lobby is an awesome store....if you don't shop there for whatever reason.... that's your loss
