This is so cool. Your pokemon mystery dungeon video was honestly really meaningful to me and a work of art. Thank you for showing this series to me this is THE kinda game for me to check out
Fast travel is kind of an accessibility option it feels like in certain games. I know a lot of games where I need to explore around, after I wander around 5 to 10 times missing some secret I can't find I start to get headaches, having to explore the entire world. Even animal well, with a fast travel, started to give me headaches since the movement wasn't the smoothest and the fast travel only helped so much.
That's honestly a side I've never gotten the chance to hear about until now. Despite what I said, Anodyne II does have just straight up fast travel from the menu, but as a post-game option, which isn't a bad idea if a player wants to explore around and see if they missed anything. I can kinda relate to getting lost in exploratory games, sometimes to the point of frustration or exhaustion, it's definitely a much larger topic than I could ever cover in a video like this.
Love the script and the content. Algo is going to keep you down unless you sound like some of the bigger essayers though. Wishing you luck, love the video!
I really liked the lonely vibes in Anondyne 1. I just bought 2 the other day and am excited to explore it
if you’re watching this & haven’t played anodyne 2… do.
Thank you for the thoughtful reviews of both games! Love the analysis of how the 2D and 3D worlds relate to each other.
