For example: sudo apt-get install package_name=version_number Both versions of the package will coexist without any issues. 2.YUM (Yellowdog Updater, Modified) used in Red Hat-based distributions like CentOS: With YUM, you can use the yum install command with the --oldinstall option to install an older version of a package alongside the existing one. 3.DNF (Dandified YUM) is the newer package manager used in RHEL and newer versions of CentOS: Similar to YUM, you can use the dnf install command with the --oldinstall option. ------------------------- Regardless of the package manager, installing multiple versions of a package should not cause conflicts, as long as the versions are properly managed and isolated. However, you should be cautious when it comes to managing dependencies.
