This was a very interesting talk from a very positive speaker. Why weren't nearly any of his slides shown? That's like teaching a kid to ride a bike by first helping him assemble it only to find you're missing the handlebars and a tire.
Would you post a list of those 12 “emerging fields of science”? I made a screenshot and zoomed in on it, but there were still a couple of letters I could not decipher. But, I know that, logically, I can figure out the missing letters - part of what I got from watching this wonderful lecture. It extends beyond math.
Stick to numbers and drop the alphabet soup. They mean nothing to most people. And stop making it a race! Winning and losing at a subject all the time, makes it an annoying contest like competitive sports. Negative numbers are anathema.
