    The rays are mobula rays. They jump as basically a "come and get it" message that they've found food. I've gone bodysurfing at the Costa Azul in January. Welcome respite from the midday heat 😎

The guy at the counter told me "we get so much business from her channel, it's amazing". Have you tried to approach them on some kind of monthly compensation for all the business you're driving to them?? All the best, Andrew

    I've moved to CSL a month ago and find it hard to find things to do besides drinking. We snorkel a lot (Playa Santa Maria is a fave... you must go there!) and eat out, but I think most gringos in Cabo are older retirees... there's no "digital nomad" scene like there is in Playa del Carmen. Great vids, hope to run into you guys sometime soon...

      Of the hotels I've seen they range anywhere from $50 a night all the way up to the resorts that charge hundreds of dollars a night. • @laura-bronner
      @laura-bronner  3 роки тому +2

      Most ubers around town cost about 50 Pesos (about $2.50 USD). If you go further obviously it becomes more expensive - I took it from San Jose to the far side of the Marina and that cost about 70 Pesos ($3.50 USD). If you go from San Jose del Cabo all the way to Cabo San Lucas it's about 200 Pesos ($10 USD) and takes about 30 minutes. Hope that helps answer your question!

    It looks like you missed the best public beach at La Playita (By the Marina) Take your Uber to the Dolphin place at the marina and then walk all the way to the beach. I strongly recommend going back because you will have a whole different impression
    And separately, there should never be anyone in the water along the hotel zone because there is a phenomenal undertow 24/7/365 due the very steep drop off from the water's edge. Where flags are posted there whatever the most dangerous level is. You can swim once the beach turns 90 degrees to the south way down to your right.

    Can you do a video on the difference of life for expats on the main land Mexico vs life in Baja California for expats, that is if there is a difference. Seems to me by just watching video's that the adjustment might be easier in Baja. Thanks ?????

    • @scarrington
      @scarrington 3 роки тому

      Hey Don. I honestly have no experience living on the mainland, but my wife and have a home in San Jose Del Cabo.
      We're expats from the northern Atlanta suburbs & to answer your question: Cabo is about as expensive as any part of Mexico to move to (except possibly Puerto Vallarta).
      Yes, it is possible to rent a condo for a "fairly reasonable" amount but Karen & I ended up purchasing a home in a golf course community just behind the beach they went on Day 2 of this video.
      Financing options for houses do exist, but they are such a pain that if you want to buy, you should be prepared to do so in cash.
      It is probably advisable to rent for a year to make sure you love the lifestyle. But in full disclosure, the advantage of buying is if you're a homeowner, your resident visa is rubber-stamped.
      If you choose one of the nicer communities in San Jose (Palmilla, Puerto Los Cabo, Querencia, etc) you will feel like you are living in paradise. They have golf courses, clubhouses, restaurants, super friendly wait staff, events, activities, etc... It would be a challenge finding a better way to live.
      The supermarkets here are very nice. They are very similar to Wegmans or Whole Foods, but with a lot more stuff (lol... believe it or not, you can buy things like TV's and ATV's in the supermarket).
      And lastly, for me, the difference between living in Baja vs the Yucatan Peninsula for example is the climate. The weather is warm and dry year-round down here. We have over 350 days of sunshine and aren't affected by hurricanes nearly as bad as they are on the Gulf.
      Additionally, the Cancun / PDC area is so humid that everything feels a little damp and smells mildew... No bueno 🤮

    • @donezzo9058
      @donezzo9058 3 роки тому

      @@scarrington Thanks Sean, how long have you lived there ? Was it easy getting adjusted to living there ?

    • @scarrington
      @scarrington 3 роки тому

      @@donezzo9058 It's absolutely amazing down here so there aren't huge adjustments. Just a bunch of little things.
      For example, T-Mobile shuts your data off after 3 months, so you have to get a different phone number.
      To watch the NFL games in English, I had to buy a router with a built in VPN, then sign up for UA-cam TV because they have the Red Zone channel.
      Once you get your VISA you'll want to get a Mexican bank account so you can transfer money to yourself and withdraw pesos.
      You'll also want to re-register the car you're taking in Montana. (lol... Way too long of a story for these comments. Google it and you'll understand why)
      Little things like that 🤷🏽
      As for the time, we used to come down for the winter and Airbnb the place in the summer. Then the COVID lockdown started, we were stuck in the house back home for weeks and we said: "screw it, let's go back to Cabo."
      So most of last year, we've been down here. We only went back for a couple of weeks during the holidays.
      Oh and lastly, if you opt for a golf course community, you'll make plenty of new friends almost immediately so no worries there either.
