My first welcome home came in 2007 in Brookings, Oregon when a now good friend of the VVA told hem "welcome home". I told him I'm a Vietnam Era Veteran from 1965 to 67. I didn't go any where except to Louisiana. He told me we went where we were told and it what we had to do and we were away from home. Thank you my friend Sam.

2.7 MILLION men and 15,000 women served in Vietnam. The 9 million you speak of was "Vietnam ERA" vets. And less than 1 million Vietnam vets are alive today.
