- Hello,
I was looking the other day at some newer modpacks to try on the curseforge launcher for Minecraft Java edition & I stumbled across this little pack that has the Origins mod on it with a few other mods too.
What is the Origins mod?
Well, it makes you(whenever you load up a new world) select an origin(class) which gives you some cool unique perks to your player & some not so cool perks too.

There are many origins to choose from, but I went for the "Merling" origin, which makes it so that I'm basically bound to water, much like a fish is...
Basically, I now breathe water.

I have recorded all of my time in this world, as you probz know that Minecraft can be very random at times so I didn't want to miss a thing!
I have chopped up all the footage to share my experience with you & I've also shared a few little tips on this origin type "Merling" that might help you along the way if you're considering trying this out.

I think I've beat this challenge, but I'm certainly up for another idea personally, I would like to try the one which involves honey as the main food source.

Make a 100 days With true zombie apocalypse addon in mcpe! Mix it with the bloodmoon addon! Or a normal modded mcpe world!
Your dragon egg was at world spawn. If you throw sth. through the portal it always ends up there.
I haven't finished the video yet so I'm not sure if you figured it out but the enchanting did work underwater you just needed to use lapis

The enchanting table looked like it did work underwater. There were no particles, true. But, the enchantments did pop up, and were the correct level. You had 3 bookshelves down. Each bookshelf gives you 2 enchanting levels. The highest level of enchanting from your enchanting table became 6 after you placed the shelves. So, yeah, it looked fine.

He had a shovel in his inv, and still kept mining dirt with a pickaxe. That just triggered me so hard
To be honest, it would be awesome to see another 100 days with this world to be honest if you still have it and want to do it. As with my first world with the orgin mod, I was a merman origin regular survival mind you, and I died quickly as I spawned at a top of a mountian and had to jump down into a river.
And its hard to keep track of time underwater due to the night vision. So I made a clock so I could keep track of time safely.
And keep up the amazing work as it sounds like you are having with it so thats awesome.

Water Protection I assume is for the Enderian or Blazeborn Origins which both take damage from water
the only way to get water into the nether is with cauldrons.
You can place a cauldron down in the nether and fill it with water from your bucket, then place a trapdoor on top to force you down into the water when you jump in and close it, you'll then start to regain your breath
Have you done any 100 days challenge with mobile and pc mods or just pc
Do this as a phantom next
u should def do more 100 days as some of the other origins 'creature types'

I noticed that too, but when he put the bookshelf’s down they didn’t emit the particles to the enchant table like they usually do. So maybe that’s why he figured it doesn’t work under water?
@@juliatb03 But the enchantments were popping up with the correct enchantment levels. So I guess he just overlooked that.
U can enchant under water but the water source block acts as a object between the table and shelves so if u get rid of the water block it works

Me, who made a barrel and a half of water breathing potions for merlings on my own origins smp, so they could breathe while they attended the masquerade

i got stuck in a cave because it was close enough to an elder guardian to give me the effect and watching this video made waiting 5 minutes before i could break the single block keeping me there bareable
Curing an villager only makes the cured villager cost les
In Java, discounts only affect the villager you cured and only apply to the played who cured them.

Yay some origins stuff I love origins mod
It’s so weird the way that bows are different in the different editions. In Java Edition gravity makes the arrows fall down in midair, so the farther away something is the more you have to sort of aim above it. It’s funny for me to see Bedrock Edition players just aiming directly at the mob rather than above it.

Depth Strider is amazing for merlings and the sole reason why I love them over all the other Origins (well that and I like underwater builds). It STACKS with the merling water boost... Oh and Dolphin's Grace stacks with both so you can get to uncontrollably fast speeds way too easily in warm oceans!

Your dragon egg is always at spawn point. Any thing you drop through end to overworld portal, it comes at spawn point.

You could have used trapdoor above the cauldron it'll put you in a swimming state so you won't have to run every time for the water.

Water prot is for the enderian origin. It reduces the time for them to take damage in water
Since GG means good game, and loosing in a game is kind of bad, would it then logically not be BG since loosing world be bad game?

I would love to see a nuclear survival with radiation and stuff.

Ummm you can sleep underwater and enchant underwater I’m pretty sure you can do everything underwater
The dragon egg should be at world spawn you can get there with a compass unless the mods changed that
Entities that enter the end portal in the end dont have a bed, so they always tp to the world spawn point, thats why the egg was there

I would love to find out what the biomes mod for that one is called. A really interesting end and nether biome. Clearly great ideas and not just some reused textures. It really brings the life of the different biomes forth. The creator certainly could work for Mojang.
A great challenge video as always. The time just flew by while watching this. I would be interested in the honey challenge but AquaDan was also nice to watch.
Yes villagers are OP. They tend to be. If one takes the time for a big trading hall and auto pumpkin farm it´s easy to get stuff done.
if i remember correctly the biome mods are literally called "Better Nether" and "Better End" on Curseforge.

If dragon egg fell in to portal it goes directly to spawn
if the egg falls through the portal it goes to world spawn
The people in Java Edition think the Bedrock Edition bows are weird and different and the Bedrock Edition people think the Java Edition bows are weird and different. So confusing
How are they different??? I’ve only ever played Java
@@tommyturbe6346 They are different because in bedrock the bow is less steady and the pov of first person camera the bow is further away from you while java the bow is steady and the pov of first person camera is like the bow is in your hand

The Dragon Egg likely showed up in the overworld at your spawn location.

Nether biomes:
Warped= blue biome with trees
Crimson= Red biome with trees
Basalt delta= one with basalt, and lava EVERYWHERE, Duh

And, speaking of 100 day things, i think you should continue your 100 days series on a flat world, with nothing but……. A bonus chest. Nostalgia 😂

I get the best bowd and fishing rods withing like 10mins.... within 20 ill find a mending book or some op books... really helps out in the start....
Also u can use a piston and lever to change the villagers... really beats destroying the lectern and replacing it...
Turn a villager to a zombie villager and cure him to become a villager and get a discount.
Me : umm I think you make a a big bobo. The villager that you cured is the one who will give you the discount and not the other villagers.
On bedrock there isn’t the dolphins grace effect (like you don’t get the bubbles and you can’t see the sign on your screen) but dolphins still make you swim faster
im in so much pain your ice boat tunnel is so incredibly bad (im sorry but its true)
also, if something falls into the end portal (that isnt a player with a set spawn) it will be sent to the world spawn
1:13:57 the end is supposed to be as empty as it is. its not supposed to have a bunch of stuff there its supposed to be the 'end' of the game and like empty (i forgot the exact reasoning, but dont except an end update literally ever)
I started playing the stoneblock marketplace and its not really work well. The stone hammer isnt breaking the cobblestone it just disappers.
