Pacific City, I moved to HB/FV in 63 a few months before I was 16 and have never heard of Pacific City. I'm so glad I got to live there before the need of having a chain-link fence around the house. I rented a house on 5th st. and painted the porch red then put out chairs for the people to sit on to watch the parade go by. I loved living there. You would freeze to death during the winter in that old house but it was cool.
I grew up in Huntington Beach during the 50s-60s. I used to tie my stuffed animals to that horse hitch and another one closer to where we lived in the 2nd block of 7th Street. I've always been curious about this property and it was great to see it's in such good hands, loved, and being protected. That hydrangea is amazing.
I really enjoyed this episode. My wife and I visited with the owners a few years ago since I have been coming to HB since I was in high school in 1970. We are still frequent visitors to Longboard even though we moved to Big Bear 15 years ago. Thanks!
My G-ma moved to Hunt Beach in 1971 or so. My whole life passed by that business on our way to G-ma's house from Long Beach. Remember the Glider Inn restaurant?

I love watching these and learning all about our city. Thank you for doing this Chris.
Wonderful!! My husband sent this to me.
We will come in. The vintage and antique community are close to our hearts 👍
