I really like your insistence with fundamentals and first 4 wave management. It's a thing that you've been saying since you started your educative videos, and never gets old. And I'm grateful for it because still I don't learn the lesson hahaha. I watched Adrian Riven videos for long time, and I knew that I had to study his gameplay because he was not a man of explanations.
Very intriguing content showing somebody who is a professional in their craft showing their skills and experience. Even if it’s something that for most people is a hobby such as video games.
Mister Alois, loved the video, I have a question though, could we, after you go unranked to masters with the 5-6 champs you have planned, get a gnar unranked to masters? He's a fun dude who has a really different playstyle and you need great rage managment
Hi Alois, I'm planning to purchase your courses but there's one thing bugging my mind, if I choose the "4 monthly payments of 25 euro", would i be provided with a full course or a couple of videos until my payment is done
first of all great content, i have been watching you for a while now and i fully agree with you, fundamentals is what gives me leads in lanes i shouldn't have agency in, just by wave management and getting free trades the enemy cant respond to, as well as using my level up and CD timers to get advantages but there is 2 things i'd like to ask: first: how would you deal someone excessively playing for the lane, defense early game is way stronger than damage and i often see myself having trouble being relevant early game playing against early game runes + d shield enjoyers, there is a point when i can take over but especially levels 1-4 it often is very much impossible to generate a lead unless it's handed over on a silver plate, while in such a scenario going even and farming is a net win ofc, for solo Q it feels like it's not enough on a consistent basis due to the fact that a small advantange in the mid game rarely being enough to overcome a relevant disadvantage on other parts of the map second: same thing but with lower agency champions vs either early game powerhouses like renekton or vs champs are too save to exploit unless they actually allow you to do so like GP
1: The only thing you can do in those scenarios is to get a lead outside of your lane. If they're playing defensively, you can always crash and look for plays on the map. Get jungle camps, scuttle, you can always get a lead consistently. 2: Against champs like Renekton since you won't be the win condition because he is overpowering, you don't want to play selfishly. Play around your teammates, build more tanky/sustain and play around whoever can carry the game. You want to be like a second support. Learn to peel for your carry.
boneplating, guide the wave, if she force trade, pull away a bit but keep your minions aggroed on her. The enemies creeps are hitting your creeps as your creeps are hitting riven. You have a solid slowpush that should be a 3 wave now under ur turret.
This is exactly why you're never late to lane. Illaoi could had gotten there before minions and made sure Riven couldn't just cheese her like that. Or walk with the minions into the lane like another poster said. Also, Illaoi's build was wack. She had ghost and what the hell did that do for her? Nothing. Ghost is useless on Illaoi. She's an immovable fortress that wants to stick around her tentacles, not chase people down. In addition she knew she was against a Riven. Always take ignite versus a match up that wants to do well early. And definitely don't start W against some one that has such a good lvl1.

Yo alois, i NEED you to explain me this guys riven, ”swagger riven” averages 8csm from 500 games with a 54% winrate in challenger, BUT averages a weird 5 kills, 6 deaths, 3 assists from those games. Match history looks just like he is getting carried every win. Can you make a video of him?
Go forward, because if you do, you'll win the trade with your three caster minions. The wave will also push towards you because your minions will die faster. The Illaoi here was scared and walked back. As a result, his caster didn't hit Riven, and he got obliterated instead.
@@raz3465 Not just that. She's against a Riven, a decent early game champ with ignite. Illaoi has no bone plating and took a USELESS summoner for her champion in ghost. She also took W level one which is pretty bad because it's nearly impossible to fight near tentacles when the wave is in middle of lane. Even worse against champions with good lvl1s like Riven.
@@tonysmith9905 Actually, W start is pretty good and I know of at least one high elo Illaoi main (dirty mobs) who pretty much always starts W > E > Q (I think into ranged matchups he starts Q). With grasp, inside her wave, Illaoi can easily trade back vs Riven by utilizing bone plating and auto resets with W. I do agree that ghost is a very ambitious pick and TP would have been far better to bail her out of a bad trade instead of being stuck in lane into perma-dove
@@raz3465 I'm not saying W start is bad, but it's terrible against some one like Riven lvl1. Even if she had taken boneplating and walked up with the wave at lvl1 one Riven would be winning those trades early because W forces you to be in their face and she would love to trade some of her hp to get you down low for the lvl2 ignite kill.
Maybe its just me, but I think top is a really poorly designed lane: One minor mistake at the start of the game can lead to a situation where you wont be able to do anything for the rest of the game. It just feels so bad for the Illaoi, he didnt neccesarily even misplay that much, yet he is forced to feed/afk. And its my opinion but i think conq is a little bit better vs riven too instead of grasp which is good into tanks. + She's playing ignite so thats stupid into early bully riven . She just dont know how to play this matchup. She could literally even go lethal tempo + exhaust instead of ignite.
@@SerVuS23 She also has ghost which is totally useless on Illaoi. She wants to be an immovable fortress around her tentacles, not chase people down. Sure as hell won't help her escape from a Riven.

What do you do lv1 if you’re illaoi here tho?
don’t let riven get in that bush in the first place, the game starts when the gates open not when the minions meet
What about walking on the right side of his minions? Then Riven draws aggro and loses

yes its true. Its also useful for the cc chain to R2. Hard to learn, not worth learning bcuz it might get patched.
