Very cool! I love that you can pinch to switch between the two lenses. They could've made the camera layout on the back of the phone look a bit better though.
I had the LG G2 and loved it for it's time. It had a night mode that took good pictures in low light. If the advanced settings can be adjusted to get better low light pictures such as changing the shutter speed and such, why can't they just have a night mode to do the settings automatically? Like the LG G2 had.
That camera is *THE ONE FEATURE* why I would spend twice what I would normally lay out for a smartphone. The interface, features AND quality are incredible. Really sets it apart from the competition for me! :)
I don't know why so many people are frustrated over the G5... I mean yeah there are a few things here and there that might take getting used to but look... if you don't like the look of the phone, you can install a skin or a case as I'm sure most people would anyway including myself. I don't like that two-tone look on the front but that's OK. I'd slap a dbrand skin anyway. If you don't like LG's launcher, Nova Launcher's waiting for you. You can install an icon pack over it and with that Nav. bar you'd almost think it's running stock. You can turn off the always-on display if you're concerned about battery life or whatever. And since it's running Marshmallow and has a micro SD slot, you can practically add more 128GB AS INTERNAL STORAGE and total your space to 160GB. Hey, I did it with my Nvidia Shield and I have 144GB of storage. It just works! I guess my point is, everything people are complaining about is either A) Dumb and pointless or B) Actually has a point but is easily fixed. This's Android, you can practically change anything you want! LG goes for plastic and you're unhappy. They do metal and you're still not happy... Geez! At least LG's bringing something new and exciting, not the same boring slab eeeeeeevery siiiingle yeeeear.... -_- But then again, I'm not buying it, cus I have a Nexus. ^^
I love Josh's review of this phone. I wonder if it's still a good phone to buy in 2017. He made me want to buy it. I love the pictures he took with it. Looks really good.
The ultra wide angle is dope af! I bet Samsung will copy this option. lol The design on G5 is beautiful in real life, it's really unique. I didn't like the 6p at the first sight but now i'm in love with the design. The same effect on the G5 😍
I don't understand the hate on it. Got this when my xperia Z Ultra's screen got cracked and didn't respond and this is a beast of phone, buttery smooth, high end specs, fantastic camera, it feels realllly nice in hand etc.
At first, I got disappointed with how the G5 looks like but as time passes by, I appreciate it more and more plus, the functionalities of the phone and its modules are really something to look forward to. Among the biggest brands at MWC 2016 like Samsung, LG and Sony, LG takes the bacon home for me. I will start saving for it so by May or June of this year when it hits the Philippine market, I will be able to get one for myself. Coming from Sony and now using a Windows phone, I will be going back to Android with a bang through LG G5! :)
Nice overview :) I don't remember one cameraphone which camera got better than the pre production unit. I remember the Nokia N8 prototype I used had much sharper photos than the 2 units I bought later.
this means that wide shots will be taken using a 8 MP cam while narrow shots are taken by 16 MP cam ? if it's the case the wide shots are low resolution photos. right?
Camera looks amazing and OIS is much better than the one on the G4. However, design is something I really look at when buying my device and this just doesn't do it for me, but it is tempting.
Curved bezels are just not hip today anymore. Whats hot right now is geometric patterns. Anything as long as its not round will do. Heck if this was designed as a rectangle it would look so much more aesthetically pleasing.
I am stoked by it. Do you happen to slide through the manual shutter speeds and took note of the slowest shutter speed offered? I saw the fastest being 1/3200 only. Is there any way to change the aperture too?
The camera viewfinder lags in low light or indoors when its moved unlike in s7 and iphone. Once in manual mode, set shutter to 1/25 and above then viewfinder shows good view as if kinda 60fps.
The specs is not an issue. I've seen people praising the high end specs. The only issue is the design and build quality that makes most people hold back from getting the phone. Nonetheless, that didn't stop me from getting it as i am going to put a case on it.
hey I need a quick question okay i don't have lg g5 phone i only I have LG G3 phone and I just ordered from Amazon lg360 camera will it work with my phone LG G3? please let me know soon as possible thank you and have a nice day
+Brett Johnson My thought exactly. My choice will be between these two. I like the low light performance of the S7, but not the 4:3 ratio at full res or the 12mp optic that you can notice in zoomed shots. If the G5 performs well in low light I will probably go that route. Just need to wait for head to head comparisons.
I wish if there was a secondary internal battery with g5 . So it would have been very easy for swapping battery or changing modules. Each time there is no need for switching off the phone for changing modules, when its main battery is removed it should switch to its secondary internal battery. This feature would have been great with g5.
i want it. idc what people say about it. i want it.
me too
you are that .2% of people that like
Opinions.
+Insanemaniac 456 I've seen many more people who like it than don't
i agree
Very cool! I love that you can pinch to switch between the two lenses.
They could've made the camera layout on the back of the phone look a bit better though.
Can't wait to get it. Beautiful design, great features, and great specs. It checks off everything I wanted for this year.
I like that phone!!
lord have mercy !!
the quality of the photos taken on this g5 Are superb ! they're even better than my G4's and 6S plus
it's RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING in every aspect
Love how they came up with something new. Digging the camera module btw.
LOVE the camera software and results.

+MrBlitz They're just Salty that Samsung ran out of ides and has settled for being "a little bit better
+Ashley Williams In my opinion the S7 is the phone I'd go for between the two... but that doesn't make the G5 any less impressive.
+Ashley Williams Yup
I love Josh's review of this phone. I wonder if it's still a good phone to buy in 2017. He made me want to buy it. I love the pictures he took with it. Looks really good.
ANDROID AUTHORITY TEAM... ....GREAT JOB
I know I won't be able to afford one but still the phone and the camera is great...Good work LG..
Let's see what Samsung will offer today with the S7
Super interested in the IP68 certification on the s7.
+Sebastian Arturo Araya Carvajal
Agreed Bro
AMEY TADE It's gonna be a great day, enjoy !
SD card and waterproof... Innovation. LOL
Eduardo Rafael Cortés Mulero Waterproof isn't that common, it's always surprising for me to see.
Well done LG. Only company that seems to be innovating recently. Looking for the finished software
The new Lg G5 is looking great in video and i am very excited for video features on this device.
G5 has raised the standards , definitely i want it
did LG absorbed some one the HTC designers cuz that looks like one of the old HTC designs.
The ultra wide angle is dope af! I bet Samsung will copy this option. lol The design on G5 is beautiful in real life, it's really unique. I didn't like the 6p at the first sight but now i'm in love with the design. The same effect on the G5 😍
This is a win for LG
The picture quality is fantastic At least LG is trying to innovate and create something new.
At first I thought the wide angle lens was gimmicky but after seeing the possiblities.. man I want one.
Camera looks pretty dope...and those pictures😍😍
I can't wait to upgrade from my G2 to G5!!
im in love with this phone
awesome videos! what camera do you use to make your videos?
wow lg g5 is so good
no matter what happens people will complain...
preach
very true, indeed.
exactly
Wow LG is amazing !!😍😍
Don't judge a phone by its cover. lol
agree!
At 1:58 the focus moved with the guy that you focused on. So the camera does have auto movement focus?
Great camera!
I don't understand the hate on it. Got this when my xperia Z Ultra's screen got cracked and didn't respond and this is a beast of phone, buttery smooth, high end specs, fantastic camera, it feels realllly nice in hand etc.
guy good how about tge battery backup
the new opening is cool👍
Nice vid. Thanks!
I really love this phone already ❤

woww that camera...

Seeing this phone makes me happy to have bought the LG G4.
The camera is pending to be no slouch as expected ,good walk-through Josh
yes!!! thats so cool!
It looks so nice bruh
that is an amazing camera
OMFG those bezzels o_O
Give this guy some ChapStick jheeze 😀
this means that wide shots will be taken using a 8 MP cam while narrow shots are taken by 16 MP cam ? if it's the case the wide shots are low resolution photos. right?
wide angle is awesome
What;s the aperture and low light photography would have given a much needed insight.
best camera smartphone of 2016
which camera and lens you have used in this video
All I saw were Bezels. I'll probably end up getting the G5 but those Bezels really make me want to get the V10 now..
+Ali Yilmaz facepalm.
they're the space between the screen of the phone and the sides
+Gal Root Do it. I love the V10 and it has been worth the change from a G4.
What an amazing phone
Can't wait to compare the cameras against the S7
Camera looks amazing and OIS is much better than the one on the G4. However, design is something I really look at when buying my device and this just doesn't do it for me, but it is tempting.
Slap a case on it and your problem will be solved
fightnight14 r u saying a case will make this look better? I don't use cases, cant stand them unless they add functionality.
+Kyle DC duh of course it will look better depends what case you slap on it and the functionality of it is the protection or added waterproof
fightnight14 i hope you're joking
+Kyle DC are you dumb?
Curved bezels are just not hip today anymore. Whats hot right now is geometric patterns. Anything as long as its not round will do. Heck if this was designed as a rectangle it would look so much more aesthetically pleasing.
+Android authority did they include manual video like in the V10?
There's a audio lag in the end (or maybe throughout the video and we couldn't notice it (we can't))
I am stoked by it. Do you happen to slide through the manual shutter speeds and took note of the slowest shutter speed offered? I saw the fastest being 1/3200 only. Is there any way to change the aperture too?
the design is sleak but really lg is that a way to place ur dual camera setup plus does it still include the manual video mode ?
G2 will be my only LG phone. The wide angle camera seems having no OIS?
Good camera I like it
LG G5
There's no "Pro" mode for video, like there is in the V10?
Is OIS only on the primary camera, the wide angle one or both?
my g5's auto focus is rather slow in normal lens, why?
Don't know why iPhone always wins best phone camera.
It's probably 3rd. behind the g series and galaxy.
I have an s6, and I destroy my friends iPhone camera with better pics all the time.
Let's not forget the lumias!
Let's not forget the lumias!
Ibrahim sheikh oh yeah.
also nexus
Why is my camera kinda fuzzy but yours is crisp? Please Answer
Best camera!
Is it worth it to buy for 2020 or 2021?
Thanks😁
What's size of the sensor? Most important news for me
I like it!
The camera viewfinder lags in low light or indoors when its moved unlike in s7 and iphone. Once in manual mode, set shutter to 1/25 and above then viewfinder shows good view as if kinda 60fps.
How about the audio quality? I would like to know about it, since the G4 is not so good on his audio during videos.
The G5 had a great & high end specs camera which could be one of the main feature of the device.Still no idea why people doesn't like this phone
The specs is not an issue. I've seen people praising the high end specs. The only issue is the design and build quality that makes most people hold back from getting the phone. Nonetheless, that didn't stop me from getting it as i am going to put a case on it.
I don't think the wide angle should be the default setting. It should be a secondary feature.
thats cool! 👍
does it have the terrible fisheye distortion in closeups that the G4 has?
Does it have the rumored 1/1.5" sensor size?
hey I need a quick question okay i don't have lg g5 phone i only I have LG G3 phone and I just ordered from Amazon lg360 camera will it work with my phone LG G3? please let me know soon as possible thank you and have a nice day
when will this monster launches globally
bring back the g3 look it was very sleek imo
why testing ois with wide angle lens? :/
To see how it works with wide angles
wide angles usualy dont need any OIS - like go pro doesnt have it. best way he could test it out is with regula camera or eaven while zoomed in.
That wide angle tho
The pictures look fantastic to me. The question I have is how does it compare to the Galaxy S7 camera ?
+Brett Johnson My thought exactly. My choice will be between these two. I like the low light performance of the S7, but not the 4:3 ratio at full res or the 12mp optic that you can notice in zoomed shots. If the G5 performs well in low light I will probably go that route. Just need to wait for head to head comparisons.
What price it is?
The design though
is there manual mode for the video?
I wish if there was a secondary internal battery with g5 . So it would have been very easy for swapping battery or changing modules. Each time there is no need for switching off the phone for changing modules, when its main battery is removed it should switch to its secondary internal battery. This feature would have been great with g5.
My LG G5 single camera wont focus. Is there a good video about this?
how do i reset the camera. my front facing camera is stuck in the smaller screen mode and i can't get it back to full screen
You can take a panorama in this phone?
does it has multi window ? i mean custom apps not pre installed stuff
awesome phone
For me the camera is very very very good it is very nature colours
can we use both cameras together for clicking pas cs and making videos
Price ?
Why they didn't bring the manual control for video recording from the v10
is G5 have optical image stabilization ?
Hi sir, Can we adjust aperture in G5 ?
