so good! You're very talented! Saw you at Home Crafts Day w/your grandpa Tommy Bledsoe. :) You're a chip off the old block. Also knew your great grandaddy Ben Bledsoe. Fine family.
Thanks! Hope you enjoyed our gig, that was fun! Cool to hear that you knew Ben, I remember meeting him when I was around 4 years old. He played Mountain dulcimer a little, although his dulcimer wasn't built properly.
@@benkiserappalachianmusic oh, I could not tell. Maybe you could do a comparison video playing a song in metal and a song in nylon or nylgut strings.. Just an idea, I would like to see & hear that myself.. Thankyou for the video young man.
Thanks again for your performance. Too bad you don’t live in Arizona. I’d like to take lessons, but if I start learning to play the mountain dulcimer, I might be the only player in Yuma County.
Yea, honestly there aren’t many dulcimer players left nowadays. I’m probably the only dulcimer player in Floyd county, but I play out on the street and folks love to hear it! If you ever consider learning, look up Don Pedi. He’s THE BEST dulcimer player out there and he does teach online.
@@benkiserappalachianmusic Thank you, Ben. I really appreciate that. I know you’re young, but you’re an accomplished player, and whether you teach came to my mind right away as I watched your video. I remember having a chance to strum a zither when I was in 4th grade, around 63 years ago.
Ben your playing just makes ya Smile and Tap your foot✌️❤️

And I knew your momma when she was a little girl. We made Barbie outfits together
Hey Angie!!!❤
That sounds real nice!
Wow nice traditional mountain music instrument .
Sounded like nylon strings to me, whatever they are, sounded real nice
Thanks! Those are just standard metal strings. Glad you enjoyed it!

Wonderful melody. Is this DAA? 🎶😍
DAD
Dulcimer is like what old people play when they cant move their fingers right and cant get around like they used to..
then how great that we get to hear their mhsic a little longer because of it
