The way Kenny speaks makes me able to absorbe the information. I love it. When I see comments that criticize him for it, it reminds me of elementary schoolers teasing other kids. Very immature. Thank you Kenny, you’re the best !
👏As a newbie to Reaper, this series of Videos are a blessing, really well produced and with real world examples for each edit. Thanks for your' efforts, Kenny, they've made my transition to Reaper so much easier. 👍👍
As someone new to Reaper (and DAWs), these tutorials are totally amazing.....without them I'd still be floundering around without a clue!! Thanks soooo much👍👏
So helpful, thank you Kenny!! Auto cross fade and playing multiple items in the same track is an incredibly unintuitive way of working. I can’t imagine a scenario where playing multiple overlapping items in one track would actually be useful. And even in video editing, I can’t imagine how a program automatically fading between two cuts would be of any real use. Thank you for clearly showing how to disable these! The reaper developers should consider turning these features off by default. I remember the first time I opened reaper years ago I was like what the f is this sh*t?
Great video, as usual ! One thing I don't understand though, about the marquee select creating time selection (at 9:35) : when I type Alt then right click drag, I create a razor edit instead (that's what is ine the User Manual). Is there's something I missed ? Which mouse modifier should I change to marquee select items and creating a time selecting at the same time ?
How does Reaper know where to put in the Bars? Does it detect the tempo automatically? I Wonder if you would please demonstrate how to use all these editing explanations to create a loop? Thanks Kenny for your demonstrations.
Hi Kenny, Is it possible to duplicate splits from one media item to another version of that item on another track? I'm trying to save some time by not having to re-split tracks manually. I'm editing lots of backup vocals phrase by phrase and as you know it can be a soul-sucking process...
CTRL/CMD click or shift click to select all of the specific tracks you want to split. Place the timeline cursor where you want the split to be, and press the S key. Or have no track selected and all tracks in the project will be split together. You probably already got it sorted, but in case anyone else comes across the comment.
Hey, this dude is doing this for free and helping thousands of people to express themselves. He can't help it if he sounds literally identical to Jackie Aprile Jr.
Audacity blows reaper away. Destructive or not Reaper is way too confusing and more suited for professional engineers, it specialists or seasoned recording artists. Your claims are very misleading and your tutorial has a lot to be desired. Sorry if it's a harsh opinion but it's truthful. Im more confused now than when I stared testing this DAW.

I absolutely luv these videos. Thank you
I love your videos soooo much I feel I learn more from a five minute video than a four year college.
jesus . what college?
thank you so much! You're videos saved me!☺
Happy New Year, Kenny!
Happy New Year!!!!
9:45 my left click(2 fingers as im on a mac) just makes the tracks front or back, not select a timeframe as you do. Any suggestion?
Happy new year Kenny !!!
Thx for your help 🙏😉
It will be help full if you put all the starting minutes content in the description great video!👍🏻
Bonne année Monsieur Kenny !

auto crossfade is one of the most powerful tools to get rid of artifacts. So there definitely is a BIG reason to have it on by default

Razor editing was a newer feature, not present by the time of this video was originally created (this video is a re-release)
@@TazzSmk Thank you, that was what I guessed. So I suppose we must customize the left drag modifier to marquee select while creating time selection ?
@@Tokolele yes, but in that case you'd want left drag even with mouse on the item, so you'd have to adjust default behaviour for moving items too
@@TazzSmk 👍🙏
Brilliant ... thanks Kenny!!
Great stuff, so useful, very clear
Can you adjust a fade? Like... on one fade, you want it to be a curve, instead of a straight line. Not talking about changing the default.
Hello! There is no "show overllaping media items in lanes" in my options. Why is that? Thank you!
How does Reaper know where to put in the Bars? Does it detect the tempo automatically?
I Wonder if you would please demonstrate how to use all these editing explanations to create a loop? Thanks Kenny for your demonstrations.
GRACIAS !
Thanks Kenny ⭐
Happy new year!
Do you use the straight line fade in/out curve by default? Think reaper default is the curved one
Yes. And correct.
Thanks!
That was goooood!

Awesome contrent - can't stand the way you talk with a ton of pauses all the time
