As usual Chris share us all her knowledge, when other never did, thanks for your amazing techniques and choices of coloring that we are getting much from it
I love coloring these pages with your inspiration. I colored along with a different colorist and found yours to be the best by far! Thank you Chris Cheng for sharing your beautiful work. 😊
Hey Chris! You are extemely talented and you make it look so easy 🙂 Can you tell me what sharpener you use for your Prismas? I find my pencils break very easily. Thank you 😚
My experience... After a few months, my Prismacolors began breaking so badly I was trying to sharpen pencils (with several sharpeners) more than I was able to color. It was horrible! Now desperate, I finally purchased a HELICAL (blade) sharpener on Amazon for around $15. After several months, I haven't had a pencil break at all! it is apparently magic! I got a battery operated one so I could take it anywhere. It doesn't matter if it is electric or the hand crank type, it is the helical blades that do the trick. I use it on all my colored pencils - works for them all. Mine only has one hole for pencils, but if you have larger pencils like Caran d'Ache's Luminance, you need to get one that includes another larger hole. The helical blades put a beautiful VERY long point on pencils, which I love.

Shading seems to be key to depth and realism...midtones, shadows and highlights...like photography
