- Eindelijk was het zo ver: Het avondje NAC in het Rat Verlegh Stadion. Limbs, Songs en heel veel Bier. Vergeet niet dat deze club in de tweede competitie van Nederland voetbald en nog steeds elke wedstrijd, door de fanatieke en gepassioneerde supporters, uitverkoopt. Dit is mijn ervaring van het Avondje NAC.

Finally I was able to visit the famous ‘Avondje NAC’ in the Rat Verlegh Stadion. Limbs, Songs and a lot of Beers. Friendly reminder that this club is in the 2nd(!) league of the Netherlands. Still they manage to sell out every game with their very passionate fans and culture. This is My Matchday Experience from 'Het avondje NAC'.

For those who don’t understand we are basically the sunderland of the Netherlands we have great history of playing in the top league but past years we’ve been pretty bad still there’s a enormously loyal fan base it’s more like a pub than a football club
The past years out running joke has been we don’t go to watch soccer anymore we go to drink and party and we’re actively trying to get our general manager and owners out of our club cause they don’t understand what it’s like to have a heart that beats for NAC💛🖤
You may match Sunderland in terms of passion and fanaticism but not the history as Sunderland are historically one of the most successful clubs in England whereas NAC Breda aren't a big club. Outside the traditional top 3, the only other clubs with some respectable level of prestige (on the pitch) are Twente, AZ and Utrecht (possibly Vitesse too recently). NAC, along with ADO Den Haag are clubs with great potential to at least match middle clubs such as Groningen and Heerenveen one day with the right ownership.

I like NAC for being one of the few clubs that didn't go along with the corny generic ultra fan culture. I can't stand all the fucking drums everywhere, especially when you hardly hear any singing but you do hear that fucking drum bearing all the time.
