why doesn’t passkeys work with subdomains on okta with apple? why are the docs on passkeys for okta identity engine so lacking? okta seriously could update their webauthn developer guide and ios sdk docs for passkeys with IOS.

A world without passwords wouldn't work. We'd be depending on 3rd party services that can stop supporting us at any time, and we'd have to settle for a crappy UX to even start.
Stop wasting everyone's time with passkeys and threatening us with a future where people can't have proper access to their own accounts anymore.
