@@user-hi2ss9ky9f There's been plenty players go from American football to rugby and handled it just fine.. reason why you don't see it much is because the money is way lower.. the national average for a rugby player is 300,000.. the national average for NFL is 3 million.. so yeah pretty easy choice..
They are both tough sports.. and I respect both.. not sure who that is you named but I'm sure he would find his match in the NFL.. the NFL has lots of big tough guys as well.. don't underestimate it..
@@wise__mind Different types of sport. NFL is based around a series of pre-planned moves and is based on 10 seconds of dynamic/powerful play (if that). Rugby guys have to run around while physically tired and worn out for 80 minutes - power meets endurance. Also, the helmets and padding (and rules) allow ferocious tackles in the NFL - remove the helmets and padding, etc, and remove attack, defense, and specialist teams and then you'd have something more similar to rugby and comparable. Imagine if NFL team was halved in numbers and that players had to play the entire game and play unprotected - they'd soon change their style of play and players. Likewise with rugby, if they had pads and helmets etc.
Almost all of these are average to below average hits by American football standards, knocking someone who's standing up straight isn't hard or impressive and it's why showing your chest is a cardinal sin in the NFL, you would die playing like that, like genuinely your lungs would get impaled by your splinted ribs, also the NFL does scout rugby players there just aren't alot of impressive ones, but there's been a few kickers punters and Jordan Milata who's one of the best players in the league

No saben tacklear. El rugby supera ampliamente a su hijo el fútbol americano
@@fernandomaggi250 I only know a few of those words what I can seem to pick up is you think popularity is important, it's not although it is more popular than rugby in China which is like 1/5th of the world by itself
Strong spirit,love it
If you think about it American football hits just as hard but people don’t really think about it because they have pads on
I still have massive respect for rugby players doing this stuff with no protective gear on other than mouth guards
They hit as hard but they are also protected from those hits is that difference.
@@bobbobertbobberton1073 still doesnt protect from cte
@@p1TCHONEEE So...
These are soft hits by American football standards they look alot worse because of poor leverage, in the NFL they would be laughing at the dude for trying to hit while standing straight up not admiring the other dude because he didn't do anything a gentle breeze could've knocked him over like that, the much better use of leverage in NFL along with wrapping up and tackling in the most efficient way you could possibly bring another human being down to the floor without tripping them leads to the average hit looking less impressive because they kinda just cancel each other out but make no mistake these arent even average NFL collisions and the pads only allow the tackler to hit harder the breaks only allow the tacklers to run faster, and obviously the seasons are so short because the contact is so extreme they cant handle more games, the nfl had 8 game seasons before it got padding, and players still couldnt play full seasons because its just that much more intense
I play for Aldridge rugby club and I don't wear mouth guards when I play rugby.
When the lights are off that’s when the game of life starts. Life is not a 10 minute highlight clip 😊
That Gordan Talis one is from like at least 20 years ago mang.
Yup on Hodgson
Some off the ultimate sports... Rugby.. MMA.. world rally championship.... Isle off man tt...
Nothing I love more than seeing the English backline being made a fool of. . . Ever since their 'graceful' accepting of their medals at the last RWC
To be fair, they are world class athletes who have worked impossibly hard to get to that point. To fall just short having been so close must be one of the most crushing experiences of their lives. It’s easy to criticise from the safety of your sofa, but you don’t get that good from accepting second place.
@mattyburr760 No, not really. If you can't accept a defeat, then you don't belong in sports, simple. They lost, they should accept it with grace, and not act like a bunch of a-holes.
That is basically the essence of sports. Somebody wins, and somebody loses. Unless we want to create a world of participation trophies....
Wellll my friend!! Coming from a man who’s national food is a spud, your talking an awfully big game. If only you knew the amount of effort these lads have put in to this game. To be with in reach of such a title and to come where they were was an amazing piece yes but these fellas dedicated months of their lives to this game and for them too lose is simply heart breaking. A little bit like when you’re in a relationship (just try to imagine) and you spend hours upon hours of commitment just for her to turn around and say “oh I just don’t really want a relationship right now”. I know this whole girlfriend business is a little strange to you but just try to imagine the pain they are going through!
@@TomyGriff Lol! good effort mate, but sadly your 'not-so tongue in cheek insults' only seem to describe your personality. But be that as it may, ( I still love you ) , you seem to be missing the point. I have no doubt they worked hard, and trained like beasts, and to make it all the way to the final (without loosing a pool game, I might add) was a top effort and well deserved. But my point still stands. . . be gracious in defeat. . . what kind of example are they setting. . . Lot's of young ones are looking up to them, and to act like that after loosing a match. . . seriously, you think that is what is good for Rugby, or any sport? And your 'girlfriend' example (Still googling what that is, thb) How come other teams over the years have been able to accept defeat when they were outplayed, after also putting in months and years of training and dedication? o and BTW, our national food is Braaivleis en brannewyn ;)
You do make a good point but sometimes when it’s such a big thing and they have put so much on the line they can’t help how they feel! I’m sure that they were trying to be gracious but sometimes emotions can be so overwhelming that you can’t help it! No hard feelings but just think a little before you go insulting others teams and discrediting their achievements!
The craziest thing to me is how they dive into the grass while running full speed. Grass is not soft.
Yankee football is like a game of ring around the rosies with these boys. I'd like to see any one of them try to tackle Caelan Dorris, Alex Dombrant or prime Jonah Lomu(RIP beast).
There's a reason why you have to waer gear in American football.. Rugby isn't for the weak, but compared to American football it's not as brutal.. and honestly it's not even close..
@@user-hi2ss9ky9f There's been plenty players go from American football to rugby and handled it just fine.. reason why you don't see it much is because the money is way lower.. the national average for a rugby player is 300,000.. the national average for NFL is 3 million.. so yeah pretty easy choice..
@@wise__mind no 6'6 170kg Eben bullying other players in NFL for 80 minutes
Likewise with rugby, if they had pads and helmets etc.
love a good thumbnail🔥
6:35 Carlin Isles got Stepped 😮😅
just want to point out, the first one was AMATUER
they should show this at all NFL halftime games aka the National Fluff League
game has changed a lot.
hail the lord!
Великая Игра Настоящих мужчин
RWC 2023, cant wait!!!
If a scotsman stares u down... always back down. Important survival skill there lol
It’s rough but no where the most brutal. You can say it’s one of the fastest fading
NFL is like a pillow fight with helmets. Rugby is like rock fight with no helmets. 💯
The last tackle was the best!
Love this sport :D
Then play it
People talking about the first tackle like the dude at 1:17 didn't join NASA's space program 💀
Lol
The NFL needs to scout some of these boys in training camp. Can you imagine the collisions if they were wearing pads and a helmet. " SAVAGE"
U need more skill to play American football than rugby. Also u have to protect urself more (don’t see/know where hits are coming from unlike rugby).
@@newagain9964Not sure you need more skill. In rugby every player attacks and defends, and there are many specialist positions.
@@ne270 false equivalency. Not everyone can be good at everything. As if rugby teams don’t have ppl they trust more than others to do very special things. 🤦
@@newagain9964 Of course certain positions perform activities with higher frequencies than other positions. However, every player on the pitch is expected to have the complete set of rugby skills to a decent standard (carrying, tackling, passing, fitness, positioning, rucking). The same cannot be said for NFL
These guys have balls of steel
They don't have balls that's why they play tag. Oh, sorry, you call it rugby
This is the kind of stuff I expect from NFL. It would be sooo much more interesting to watch. An arena of gladiators with a ball
The attacker at 22 seconds forearm smashes the defender and should have been sent off. Very nasty play.
Bullshit.
Perfectly legal fend and a perfect example of why you shouldn't stand stationary perfectly upright against a bigger stronger dude running g full tilt at you.
@@garywebster3044 No, he led with his forearm. That is quite different to a straight arm hand off.
@@Hereford1642
Looks like first contact washing to shoulder regardless either way it was marginal at best and the true fault for being smear on the ground lies with the idiot defender.
agreed...
sooooooo good thanks for sharing
its crazy cause Ben Simmons came from playing Australia Rugby and bro soft asf in the NBA
He's only an average rugby player at his best
Because rugby isn't that intense that's why their seasons are so long
By far not the most brutal one, but it is a hard sport indeed.
Man they truthfully make the NFL players look like real softies.
It's literally the same as NFL just without pads 🤦🏾♂️
These are literally average at best NFL highlights 💀 go watch ray Lewis highlights and Mike alstott highlights RN and you'll see what I mean pay attention to the leverage too most of these hits are slow but the person bounces because of poor leverage while that's incredibly rare in the NFL and players onky bounce off when the other dude can squat a bus
@@felixlara2945only an American or a retarded person would actually really believe that, so cute. Stick with your pads lady
I played football in highschool for 3years liked it but when I switched to rugby oh 10x more intense but good bare Knuckle fights for sure😊
Tiens Neymar ferait pas mal de regarder ce genre de vidéo et peut être qu'il réféchirait à 2 fois avant de pleurer pour une touchette xD
South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤
I've seen some really fast players come from the Springboks.
I'm an All Black fan, born and raised myself.
I love watching the tri-nations. A good ole rivalry between the blacks, wallabies and Springboks.
This was when the game was thrilling and exciting to watch.
Proper men’s sport. The yanks player American Football 😂 that’s a lightweight version of Rugby. Funny enough our girls and ladies play netball (Basketball) and rounders (Baseball) oh well.
Lightweight yet faster paced and way stronger, majority of these boys are fat guys running like 5.5😂
Da yank lmfao. American football is a lightweight version of rugby hahaha who is this guy. Funny our girls play netball ( basketball) well no they actually do play basketball lmfao. And rounders Baseball) our girls. They literally just had two sellouts at London Stadium and at trafalger square. Which rock are you under. 😂😂😂😂
It is nuts I currently have a broken collar bone from a game on Tuesday
I love it when they just deadlift a guy and drop him on his face
I'm pretty sure MMA holds this title
Nah arm wrestling MMA, the sport didn't last long but damn was it brutal. Imagine MMA but you're literally stuck to your opponent.
Can't compare individual sports to team sports btw Mark Hunt was a rugby player before he went to MMA he may not be the best MMA fighter but he's the toughest
The most brutal?
Calcio storico Fiorentino 👍👍👍
Thats a real sport... not american hand soccer
Your mom

You say that, but gridiron football (or American Football) actually evolved From rugby.
Football is a real sport
rugby is just how kids play football
It's truly insane how much the human body can take and be conditioned for and even recover from.
Until a few weeks ago the last rugby match I watched the whistle was blown 4 times! The one I watched a few days ago they had to change the whistle several times as the pea had worn-out 😂
I was a prop in the early 90s for a little, Canadian high school. I loved playing the sport at first and grew to love it more every year. But the fact is our level was a joke. I`m positive that an elite/semi-elite elementary school - in a "rugby country" - could have beaten us twice on Tuesday. THESE men are terrifying in the best way possible. For all the people saying women can compete in men`s sports, show them this video then wish them good-fucking-luck!! Jeepers, I just keep on thinking about that dude who dead lifted an easy 100kg dude, right from the turf, like he was clearing plates off a table.

I'm 95kg, decent strength and cardio, and I'd never get on the pitch with these guys
