As a madrid supporter I must say, what a team celtic have. Absolute machines in the press, literally did not let madrid breathe in the 1st half. Maybe if they'd sat back a bit and picked their pressing moments they wouldve had more energy for the second half which is when Madrid really picked them apart. Regardless I think Celtics fans can hold their head up high, that was an intense and great game

Our team is very much in its infancy and for the boys to go ahead and try play their game against the best in the world is something I take immense pride in. I think the scoreline was unflattering to us but ultimately the correct result.
The balls to go for it against the best and not try and hunker down to scrape a result is what I wanted to see and really the only way to embed an elite mentality.
Atmosphere was top drawer all night and I think it was very telling we were singing the manager's name and had an ovation for the team. We seen progress and that deserves to be acknowledged!
Can't wait for the return leg in the Berna! hopefully you'll have comfortably qualified by then and be less motivated to destroy 🤣
As a madridista let me say Celtic fans provided a great ambient for football, there's no reason to feel bad. It was a good game.
Kroos also said good things about Celtic players and if Toni kroos says it, it true.
We had good chances but it was the lack of experience at this level that really allowed Madrid to take over. Madrid play this level every year, they know what is needed at every moment. If we (Celtic) keep this level and qualify every year, we can compete, but first Champions League game in 5 years vs. The best team? Impossible lol

I’m from Essex, I’m half Scottish, I also travelled up for the game but by train and was lucky enough for standing section. Been to easily 50+ home games, best atmosphere I’ve seen considering we lost 3-0
no matter what team you support you must respect the celtic fans who stayed at the end to appreciate the celtic players performance

We are at our highest ranking in my lifetime and now get 2 teams into the Champions league every season from a country with a population smaller than the city of London. Rangers and Celtic have also reached 3 European finals between them in the last 20 years. But don't let facts get in the way of your opinion you clown
